trinikojak
My server is constantly crashing. Once on it will crash within 6 hours of power on and the only way to reboot is by a forceful power shutdown. DMAR: DRHD: handling fault status reg 2 DMAR: [DMA Read] Request device [07:00.0] fault addr ff8b7000 [fault reason 06] PTE Read access is not set - I have tried removing apps i.e sickrage, sickbeard, plex - Updtaed BIOS - Disabled on-board LAN & Sound Card None of the above seem to work. Has anyone else have this happen and what can I do to solve this issue? Thank a mil folks! Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
Can you still get the diagnostics on the console when it crashes? Without them it's difficult to help. Quote Link to comment

JorgeB
Try disabling VT-d or removing the Marvell controller. Quote Link to comment
trinikojak
Just an update disabled VT-d but have not been able to remove the Marvell controller. Working on it The system still hangs with VT-d disabled Quote Link to comment
trinikojak
I have reached out to Gigabyte and they have said there is no Marvell Controller on the board. As I stated VT-d has been disabled. Any other suggestions? Quote Link to comment

I didn't say the Marvell controller is onboard, it's a Supermicro SAS2LP or a Highpoint RocketRAID, if that doesn't help it's likely some incompatibility with that board, you can try v6.4 since it uses a newer kernel. JorgeB
FYI there's another user with a Gigabyte board and similar errors, so most likely board related. Quote Link to comment
trinikojak
I have now changed the card and having issues. VT-d is disabled LSI card installed. unclekyle-diagnostics-20180110-2019.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
The issue is most likely related to the Gigabyte board, since another user has similar errors, looks for a bios update or swap the board. Quote Link to comment
