needslipo
I cant seem to start my array - when I try to start it, the web ui stops responding. I can ssh in, but can't do much else. xfs-repair -v didn't seem to do anything. I noticed there's a bunch of call traces in the log, but I don't know how to make sense of them. I've attached the logs and would appreciate any help. tower-diagnostics-20171122-1004.zip Edited November 22, 2017 by needslipo Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
You need to grab the diagnostics after starting the array by typing diagnostics on the console/SSH. Quote Link to comment
needslipo
So I was able to get the array to start by swapping out a sata cable and running xfs_repair, but I still have a bunch of call traces that I'd like to resolve. Here are the diagnostics after starting the array: tower-diagnostics-20171122-1035.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Call traces are bios related: Nov 22 10:28:41 Tower kernel: Your BIOS is broken; RMRR ends before it starts! Check for a bios update or ignore. Quote Link to comment
needslipo
Running the latest 1501 bios.. so nothing to worry about then? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Nothing you can do about it, unless you get a new board, but this type of error is usually harmless. Quote Link to comment
