tdallen Posted November 24, 2017 Share Posted November 24, 2017 I'm not sure if you're going to find the E3-1515Mv5. More commonly you'd find the E3-1245v5 or v6, or the E3-1275v5 or v6. Those are socket 1151 chips... I agree with your math on 10,500 Passmarks, but if you really expect to be running 4 streams very often and want to stay in this class of CPU you might also want to consider the new Coffee Lake chips like the Core i7-8700 with 6 cores and 12 threads. Or, you mentioned a Socket 2011v3 motherboard earlier in the thread, those are for E5 Xeons or the Core i7 EE or X edition chips. Those are also a good choice if you expect to support lots of Plex streams. Quote Link to comment
