ATI4
Hello, Today I downloaded unraid trial version, installed on a USB and then I miss assigned a 1TB disk wich was full of data. Now I can't acces that data through windows (can't mount the drive) what should I do to get my data back? Sorry I'm a complete noob with this software as I only started using it today. Please help I really need that data back. Ps.: I didn't clicked on format, so the data should still be on the drive but when I open it up in Windows doesn't detect It's file system. itimpi
The problem is that the process of assigning the disk will have caused unRAID to realise the disk is not partitioned correctly for unRAID so will have rewritten the partition table to conform to what unRAID expects. The rest of the disk (including your data is still there unchanged. To get the data back you will need to use one of the many disk recovery tools for Windows that can find where the partition should be and set it back to what it used to be. 1 Quote Link to comment
