rxnelson
Like many others I bought the Natex package and am starting to tinker with Docker's and VMs. I'd like to add a USB 3.0 card to it in an attempt to install a windows VM with Oculus Rift. I've done a little searching and found a few questions on an add-on USB card but didn't see any glowing recommendations. Any recommended cards out there? Quote Link to comment
allanp81
I went for this Asus card https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboard-Accessory/USB_31_TYPEA_CARD/ Seems to passthrough fine. Quote Link to comment
aptalca
I have two, one with a fresca chipset and one with a Renesas one. They both work, but the Renesas one is cheaper. Oculus used to recommend the fresca chipset but it had compatibility issues with my Supermicro (X9) mobo in Linux, where when I did a shutdown, the card would force it to start back up somehow. It didn't have that issue in my backup server with an asrock mobo (amd 880g). Quote Link to comment
