ashman70
So I finally got around to assembling my new build with a fractal design 804 case. I had purchased a used HBA which was a SAS9201-8i however it was not being recognized by unRAID on my Supermicro - X10SLL-F motherboard. I tried different PCIe slots but eventually i had to through in my old SAS2LP that I had had issues with in the past and all the drives connected to it were recognized so the parity drive is currently building. I have ten drives in the system, two mounted on the bottom of the cage and both drive carriers populated with four drives each. The array will be 49TB for now with a WD Red 8TB drive for parity. This NAS will be my primary linux ISO NAS although it will take some time to copy content to it from my backup. I will try to post pics when I can. burtjr
Probably because with out pictures it's just a computer that is used as a server. When pictures are attached you will probably get some comments. Quote Link to comment
