Snowpea
On a fresh install of UNRAID 6.3.5 the web GUI is slow to load new tabs or drop downs. Pages take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes to load. Attempting to load the GUI on the local machine just result in a black screen. The hardware is.. ASUS Rampage IV Black X79 i7 3820 16Gb GSkill Ram ASUS GTX 1070 I have attempted the following solutions.. - tested 3 different flash drives, currently I'm using a Sandisk Cruzer Glide 2.0 16Gb - assigned a static ip from the network.cfg file on the Jump Drive - booted the same UNRAID jump drive on a Z170 motherboard with a G4560, The Web GUI and local GUI both worked smoothly, loading pages near instantly. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. UNRAID_log.txt Quote Link to comment
itimpi
The log appears to be full of messages relating to USB devices which is not normal. I would suggest unplugging all un-needed USB devices. Also if possible plug the unRAID USB drive into a USB 2 port rather than a USB 3 one. Quote Link to comment
Snowpea
All USB devices are unplugged, I restarted the computer. No change in the slowness of the web GUI and the log looks the same. UNRAID_log2.txt Quote Link to comment
Snowpea
I believe I have resolved the issue through much trail and error. I disabled all Asmedia USB 3.0 controllers in the bios. The web GUI is now more appropriately responsive and there are no more repeating "new high-speed USB device" messages in the log. Thanks for the quick reply itimpi Quote Link to comment
itimpi
Glad to hear that the issue is resolved. It sounds as if there may be some issue with the support of those controllers at the Linux kernel level, and if so some future kernel version may resolve the issue.? Hopefully you can live with them disabled without it being a major inconvenience? Quote Link to comment
