limetech Posted May 3, 2017 Share Posted May 3, 2017 Right, no Spotlight support is currently built-in to unRAID, mainly because we don't include "Gnome Tracker". Here are my notes on the subject: Quote netatalk includes spotlight support but it requires adding a utility called "Gnome Tracker":http://netatalk.sourceforge.net/3.1/htmldocs/configuration.html#idm140604592868992 Since we are deprecating afp support this might be a problem except that spotlight support is available in Samba:https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Spotlight Still uses Gnome Tracker. But refer to the netatalk discussion on Limitations and notes. Here's info on Gnome Tracker:https://github.com/GNOME/tracker The 'system' share would be the natural place to keep the database I suppose.
