AOC-SASLP-MV8 break shutdown

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am having issue with my 2 x AOC-SASLP-MV8 cards.

Each time I shutdown, box reboot instead.

If I remove 1 card, box shutdown correctly, if I plug the 2 ... no ...

Always shutdown correctly wih one card, removing the first or the second one, same.

I have switched pci ports too, but same.

I dont have any idea, and SuperMicro support dont help me.

Cards are on .21 firmware on a X8SIL motherboard.

I read somes topics about flashing cards to the .15 firmware. Thats still a good idea ? It will handle my 6 TB drives ?

Thanks

Both firmware's should work with 6TB drives.  It is highly unlikely any firmware would have a limit on size if they support >2.2TB.  I personally have only used 4TB on mine before I switched and started using LSI based controllers.  Based on that (4TB) I feel comfortable telling you that both should support 6TB drives.
