ekim
I have a Windows 10 VM the main disk image of which at the moment is on my SSD cache drive. I only have a 500gb drive but have loads of space on my array. Would I be taking a big performance hit if I were to install Windows 10 to the disk image on the SSD and install all my apps (mostly games) on to another vdisk that lives on the array? NY152
Speed ??level? No if other drives are not SSDs. Quote Link to comment
ekim
Sorry should have said. The array drives are WD 3tb Reds. But from you response I'm guessing its a no unless I had an array of SSDs! Ah well. Will just have to manage the game collection a little more carefully for now. Quote Link to comment

There is no problem using the array for a vdisk holding games and apps, but if you have parity, its going to be slow. Loading time will be slower, but game play itself shouldn't be effected. If you are using steam, take a look at this post for switching games between cache and array. Quote Link to comment
