snuffy1pro
Hello, so Shogun Server is completed but I'm not too happy with the cache pool size. Speed wise it's great but I find myself in a situation where my SABnzbd download queue is larger than the pool, and I have to manually run the mover more often so as not to over run the disk size. I have acquired two 750 EVO 500GB Drives. So the question to you is WWJD? I need the space and real world tests show negligible difference in speed from the 850 EVO to the 750 EVO, not to be confused with the 850 EVO pro which is much faster. I'm leaning towards just swapping the 250's with the 500's, but is there a compelling reason to just add to the pool, or leave it alone and throttle my download speed. (200 down) Thoughts? snuffy1pro
Thanks for the info, I think I'm going to swap the two 250GB drives with the larger marginally slower 500GB Drive. The overall space increase is worth cracking open the side panel. I do not see any reason to add the drive to the cache pool array. It gives me two 250GB drives to play with in my backup server build. Cheers. Quote Link to comment
