All unRAID Application Template Repositories / Support Threads

Recommended Posts

EDIT:  The application lists previously located within this thread have been moved to Github.  Please click https://rawgit.com/Squidly271/AppsThread/master/forumpost0.html

This is a temporary home for these lists until the new method of publishing these lists is available.

While using repositories is still the "official" way of handling docker containers, it is FAR easier to install the Community Applications plugin (link below) to handle everything for you.

Update:As of the latest unRaid manual, LT now recommends using Community Applications instead of adding in repositories for access to all of the various applications

NOTE: This list contains both Docker Repositories and Plugin Repositories.  You CANNOT add a plugin template repository using the links provided.  Either install Community Applications to install them, or go to the support thread for the appropriate plugin and manually install it.

Popular unRAID Application Template Repositories and Containers

Just to reiterate the statement above in red, utilizing Repositories for applications is the old, outdated way of adding apps to your server.  Install the Community Applications plugin and you'll never have to worry about repositories again as everything is handled automatically.  (If it wasn't so easy for me to keep this thread up to date, I would have deleted the entire thing a long time ago - Nowadays, I mainly keep it going to show potential unRaid users what apps are available and supported)

Following is a (hopefully) up-to-date list of all the current unRaid Docker Template Repositories.  While just about any docker container can be used within unRaid, the following list contains only those repositories which have been tweaked for use with unRaid (ie: XML templates), along with the support / announcement thread for it.

For a good introduction to Docker, please check out the following threads: Limetech's Official Docker Guide and A Noobie Docker Setup Guide

(To run other containers found at https://registry.hub.docker.com/, you may want to check out lionelhutz' postings HERE and this plugin HERE)

To add a repository to your unRAID system, just copy the link for the URL to the repository you want and paste it in the "Template Repositories" section in the unRaid GUI (under the Docker page). (or use the Community Applications Plugin which will also allow you to individually add single containers http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=40262.0

Note that you can add as many repositories as you like to the repositories list.

Weird, when I added just one template url (the first one listed in OP), clicking save would just clear the box and not save the url.

But adding a bunch of them and clicking save kept them there, including that first one.

Ugh, this docker thing is taking way too much time to figure out. I am trying to get btsync working but have a few questions.

I first tried the one from the hurricane repository. Certain settings such as enabling upnp would not stay on. BTSync would just disable that option again - I assume it is broken in his build?

Then I tried gfjardim's which seems to work a little better. The upnp setting stays on. I had set it up in host networking mode but it still lists port mappings on the docker page. Why is it doing this when that is not the way I set it up?

Also, both were telling me the btsync app is outdated. Are docker containers not updatable? Will I need a new container for every new release of btsync?

Seems like a cool idea but with many limitations.

Most of the dockers which I use are updateable within the app itself.  No idea about BTSync.  Maybe ask the question here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?board=56.0

Dockers may seem a hair confusing (with the container volume vs host volume), but once you understand the concept it is miles easier, and you will never have to worry about updates to unRaid breaking the container - it will always work regardless of which OS its running on - ie: Dependency Hell  Moving forward, you will probably see more and more docker containers and fewer plugins developed for unRaid.  And of course, since unRaid can run ANY docker out there, you can always get a different one from hub.docker.com (I counted 69 there), and read lionelhutz' tutorial here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=37732.msg349938#msg349938  (That's definitely something you cannot do via plug-ins)

Splunk is a search and analytics engine that supports a wide variety of data inputs and also many custom applications. I use it as a destination for my home networking syslogs and netflows. The free version is limited to 500MB/day.

Added pinion's repo (http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=38602.0)

Another revamp to the OP with the thumbnails for all of the containers to make it prettier - My boss is starting to question why I have so much free time at work  8)

Now if only smdion and sparklyballs would add icons to all of the beta containers every thing would be perfect

Hi squid, just to let you know I have added sonarr to my list of docker images, oh and really nice job on the post.

Added and Thanks.

I've just added baikal to my beta repo, card-dav cal-dav server thingimy.

http://freedif.org/baikal-synchronize-your-calendar-and-contacts/

Added. Figured that this:
Baïkal let you synchronize your calendars and address books over CalDAV and CardDAV. Baïkal implements the IETF standards for centralized calendar and address book collections and is compatible with a large set of applications such as iOS/Mac OSX Calendar, Contacts and reminders, but also Android’s, Linux, Windows similar applications.
was a better description than card-dav server thing-a-min-gigy.

(Oh, and ty for including an icon  ;) )
