dougnliz
Hi folks, I've had NZBGET working fine for over a week now, but today it apparently crashed and now it won't start back up. I've tried restarting the service and the VM itself, with no luck. My CouchPotato and NZBDrone are still working fine. What can I check to see what's going on? Thanks, Doug It would appear that my queue was too full and that was causing the issue. I emptied my queue folder and it started right back up and is now working again. Link to comment

ironicbadger
Anyone have advice on how to get Arch to show up on windows networks IE. Windows explorer -> Network -> ArchVM Setup a samba server. Here's the arch wiki article you need. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/samba Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Link to comment

Ashe
Just wanted to swing by and ask about the "skb rides the rocket" message as well. I'm seeing that message when scanning shows through sickbeard on an NFS mount. Share configured as identified in the first post. EDIT: after a bit more playing around, it doesn't kick in until I turn on btsync and start syncing files Same issue when adding shows to sickbeard. Only sab and CP running in the VM. Using CIFS for the mounts Link to comment
ironicbadger
I see it too, on my unraid as a host and also when I use arch as a host OS. I haven't noticed a performance hit / issue only that annoying error message. So I just ignore it, and until Google searching brings up a definitive fix or reason to worry about it, I wouldn't. Ashe
Yes been following since it was posted and pre discussions. Tried NFS to no avail, CIFS took a bit of work but got there with the wiki plus your guide, had tried autofs but didn't get it working. Will take another go in a separate VM till I know what I'm doing Link to comment
vlefevre86
Hi all, I've just bought a USB dvb-t tuner to use with tvheadend, but I can't find how to pass the device to the VM... After a little time on Google, I guess I'll have to go the PVUSB road... Right? Any idea? Envoyé de mon Nexus 5 en utilisant Tapatalk Link to comment
JustinChase
When you install a program inside the VM, where does it actually install? I followed the guide, then installed SAB, Sick and Plex, but when I tried to copy my config from the old plugins, I messed up permissions, and it didn't work right. So, I decided to create a new VM and start from scratch. I didn't want to remove the old/original VM installation, to be safe. The original VM is located at /mnt/cache/domains/archVM The new VM is located at /mnt/cache/domains/archVM2 I tried to amend the arch.cfg file for the second VM, and when I tried to start it (xl create /mnt/cache/domains/archVM2/arch.cfg) I got some error messages, which I no longer have in the putty session. I figured I'd just register the cfg file with unRAID and see if I could start the VM that way. That seemed to work. xl top shows the archVM2 running, as does unRAID. So far, I feel like I'm doing well. However, I just tried to install Plex in the archVM2 and it tells me Plex is already installed. How can that be? So, it brings me back to the question of Where does the VM install programs, and why is one VM seeing a program installed in another VM? I suspect I've made an error somewhere, so before I continue, I want to understand where I am currently. I suppose I could delete all the VM's and start completely from scratch, but I'd like to keep the almost working VM until I get something that works better. any advice? ***EDIT: I just noticed that SABnzbd is currently running at the IP of the archVM2, even though I've not installed SABnzbd in that VM yet. Obviously the programs are in a shared location, which makes my efforts to 'start from scratch in a new VM' useless. Why is this? Link to comment
Ramsay
Did you happen to copy the arch.img from the old VM folder to archVM2? Link to comment
JustinChase
nope. I purposefully didn't copy anything to the new archVM2 folder. I intended to start fully from scratch. With that said, and with the lack of response to my post, and my frustration with the whole process, I nuked everything, deleted all directories under /opt, wiped the VM's from unRAID, then rebooted, and started completely from scratch. I'm still working on setting up the configs of SAB and SB, but I think I finally have SAB setup, at least mostly correct. I'm not sure if I can get my downloads back into the SAB Processing, or if I'll have to unzip everything manually, then force SB to process it all, but I suspect this will still take less time that fighting stupid (STUPID & FRUSTRATING) permissions issues. Oh well, back to the fighting Link to comment
splnut
When I installed couchpotato from the unraid6 repo everything was working fine. Lately I've been having some issues and am unable to update. When I try to do a git-pull I get the below message. [root@ArchApplianceVM_v3 couchpotato]# git pull fatal: '/home/alex/pkg/couchpotato-git/CouchPotatoServer' does not appear to be a git repository fatal: Could not read from remote repository. Please make sure you have the correct access rights and the repository exists. I know you were having some server issues, just curious if this was because of that? Thanks. Link to comment
Nokoff
I've had such problems with couchpotato I've given up. All my other plugins work well but I can't figure out what's up with couch. I believe it might be permissions related but not sure. What happens is that after setup wizard the settings screen goes blank. after I put in a username and password I noticed once, but then even after trying different versions from different repos the same problem resulted eventually even without me setting a password. thebigslicksuitd
That's weird, I've setup the version on Badger's repo without issue multiple times as I've tinkered with other parts of that VM and then had to start over. Are you also referencing this post from Badger's blog? http://blog.ktz.me/?p=233 I've found it quite useful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment

PeterB
I was about to post that CP is working fine here, but when I checked, I was shown a blank page! I did a systemctl restart couchpotato, which failed, reporting "OSError: [Errno 17] File exists: '/net/tower/mnt/user/Torrents/couchpotato_v2/logs'" I did an rm -R /net/tower/mnt/user/Torrents/couchpotato_v2/logs followed by systemctl start couchpotato and now CP is running again. Edit to add: At least three reboots later and CP is still working perfectly. Further Edit: Okay, I spoke too soon - CP stopped working again. However, I think I have it solved this time. Looking in the CP logfile, it was complaining that the update failed because git wasn't installed. pacman -S git seems to have it up and running again. Link to comment
JustinChase
I'm still having problems with SABnzbd and SickBeard not being able to fully process a show from discovery to post-processing. I just restarted the VM again, and upon starting, I see this in the SickBeard logs. It looks like it's not got internet access, but I can't say why that might be. 2014-04-27 00:56:39 INFO SEARCHQUEUE-BACKLOG-188401 :: Searching for stuff we need from Regular Show season 5 2014-04-27 Also, why is the time so far off? it's about 7pm here right now, and unRAID had the correct time, but SB is about 6 hours fast, which is my time zone offest (-6). I don't see any place to set the time in SB, nor in the VM. Where am I missing the settings? There are post-processing issues also, but one thing at a time I think. Any suggestions? Link to comment

Don't remember the details but Google and the Arch Wiki was all I needed to figure it out. Link to comment
JustinChase
The VM is set to badger's timezone until you change it. Don't remember the details but Google and the Arch Wiki was all I needed to figure it out. I guess I'm just not as smart as I'd like to be. I get this when I tried to follow the wiki [root@IronicsArchVM_v4 Mexico]# ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/Mexico/General /etc/localtime ln: failed to create symbolic link â/etc/localtimeâ: File exists Link to comment
PeterB
I get this when I tried to follow the wiki [root@IronicsArchVM_v4 Mexico]# ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/Mexico/General /etc/localtime ln: failed to create symbolic link â/etc/localtimeâ: File exists Okay, so it's telling you that /etc/localtime already exists. Try using the -f option to force an overwrite of an existing file (or, in this case, symbolic link): ln -sf /usr/share/zoneinfo/Mexico/General /etc/localtime Link to comment
JustinChase
Thanks, that didn't give an error, so I assume it worked. Hopefully, someone has some insight about the post-processing not working. I'm about to give up on the archVM and try to figure out how to install ubuntu, or something else. I've run out of ideas on how to get this working, and I just can't keep banging my head against the wall Link to comment
