bonienl
I do no where to ask, but my MB is not so old, and no sensors detected ? please where can I ask about this "issue" to get some help ? What is the brand and model of your MB ? The temp plugin makes use of the built-in lm-sensors package, you can find more information on their website lm-sensors.org Link to comment
Frank1940
A couple of minor items for your consideration on the 'Main' "Array Devices'. 1--- The refresh button covers up the black information box for the last disk in the list. (In other words, The button needs to be pushed back a layer or the box pushed forward a layer. 2--- "Array size of three disks (including parity)" I find is a confusing label. I would suggest "Total of three disks (including parity) in array" Link to comment
bonienl
Got everything up and running including those plugins, except for the temps. sensors cmd gives me the right information so unraid is reading the sensors correctly, but dynamix isn't reading it for some reason. Not sure where to go from here. Can you post the output of the "sensors" command on your system (see below) root@vesta:~# sensors atk0110-acpi-0 Adapter: ACPI interface Vcore Voltage: +1.06 V (min = +0.85 V, max = +1.60 V) +3.3 Voltage: +3.31 V (min = +2.97 V, max = +3.63 V) +5 Voltage: +4.86 V (min = +4.50 V, max = +5.50 V) +12 Voltage: +12.34 V (min = +10.20 V, max = +13.80 V) CPU FAN Speed: 3629 RPM (min = 600 RPM) CHASSIS FAN Speed:1369 RPM (min = 600 RPM) CPU Temperature: +44.0 C (high = +60.0 C, crit = +95.0 C) MB Temperature: +45.0 C (high = +45.0 C, crit = +75.0 C) k10temp-pci-00c3 Adapter: PCI adapter temp1: +0.0 C (high = +70.0 C, crit = +99.5 C) Now, the only thing missing from my perfect setup is a pushover notification plugin Part of SimpleFeatures is a notification system based on jGrowl, this is present in Dynamix too. Speeding_ant wrote at the time a tutorial how to create your own notifications (you have to search the SimpleFeatures topic though). Link to comment
bonienl
I´m not sure I understand the Halt function in the Activity Stream. When I stop a filestream that's going to a Plex Media Server, I´m not allowed to stream that file again. The server see's the file as unavailable. Is there a time restriction in play? The stop button will halt/close the currently opened file, though streaming may not be directly affected since a lot applications buffer the content upfront. Also just a thought, would it be possible for the HDD icons under disk health to display some sort of visual notification in case of smart failure? The SMART status is continuously checked in the background when the health page is opened, if a particular disk fails then that disk will turn red. In other words when you have the health page visible you keep a constant view of your disks' status Link to comment

bonienl
I keep a close eye on this project. It seem like fresh water against old school (but reliable ) stock gui. Do you think it is ready for install in a no test unraid? No batteries included... but I have been running these plugins on my production system for quite some time without real issues. And now you have another beta tester Working fine in Safari Maveriks. Only as my two small cents, in settings menu when you go inside a setting (example settings - user utilities - email) then you can't back one level (to user utilities) only two levels to settings. Nice work¡¡ Link to comment

gshlomi
Thanks for the updated version. Another 2 things: 1. Why did you change the version of openssl from 0.9.8r to 0.9.8y ? all the other plugins (including your 2.0.1 webserver) use the older openssl ver. 2. I know Active Streams plugin is at the second stage of updates, but the current font cuts the end of the IP address. Thanks Shlomi Link to comment

Can you download the system temp PLG again and re-install it (right-click and choose "save link as"). I have added in the PLG the download of the latest lm-sensors package for slackware 13.1 (version 3.3.4), maybe with the newer version more is detected. Give it a try! Link to comment

bonienl
1. Why did you change the version of openssl from 0.9.8r to 0.9.8y ? all the other plugins (including your 2.0.1 webserver) use the older openssl ver. Actually I did a (silent) update of the email and web server PLG, the approach now is to choose the latest package available for each slackware version. If it is a problem change it back to 0.9.8r, though I see some discussions about the plugins of overbyrn which require version 1.0.1c. If you have other plugins installing openssl, you can use "no-install" in the email and/or web-server plugin to skip the installation, this is another way of avoiding conflicts. This packages dependencies between plugins is a real challenge to solve... 2. I know Active Streams plugin is at the second stage of updates, but the current font cuts the end of the IP address. Thanks for testing this, it will be corrected in the next version. As a workaround you can give a (shorter) name to the IP address, see the "User Names" tab. Link to comment
garion
I forgot, two more things. As you can see in the attach top menu colors is missing in Safari Ipad. Other is that I notice a not usual behavior or my parity drive. It keeps spinning. If I push "spin down" button parity spin down but return up in about 20-30 minutes (testing now). No plex, transmission or other active p2p programs running and the most unusual thing is that CACHE is down So, all my data drive are down, my cache drive is down but parity is up (and flash of course). Yeah (re-)download the PLG file and perhaps with the newer lm-sensors version you have more luck, let me know. The one used by unRAID is quite old. There is a gui problem in Safari Ipad in all tabs except Stats. No auto width adjustment, no manual with reduced zoom. Stats works fine. One of the consequences of solving the stats problem was to use a fixed width (I am using 1240px). I did a quick test on my iphone and it appeared to work fine, though initially there was no scaling but magically it started to work Link to comment

garion
A cheap Intel G1610@ 2,6ghz with 8 Gigas @ 1333mhz. It´s a good choice due to 22nm and only max 55W tcp. That system with 8 HD + 1 VDSL router + 1 gigabit switch + 1 efergy hub it´s only 100 Wats. My first unraid system was an Atom dual core but hard to expand and too munch low powered. Second was a [email protected] and it was overpowered. Last one it´s balanced as no VM are running now in my system, only unraid. Last test 32 min after reboot in DISABLED MODE: top - 02:06:20 up 32 min, 0 users, load average: 0.03, 0.08, 0.11 Tasks: 107 total, 1 running, 106 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie Cpu(s): 1.3%us, 0.4%sy, 0.0%ni, 97.2%id, 1.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st Mem: 8119848k total, 831180k used, 7288668k free, 12724k buffers So, disabled is my friend Link to comment

bonienl
Other is that I notice a not usual behavior or my parity drive. It keeps spinning. If I push "spin down" button parity spin down but return up in about 20-30 minutes (testing now). I am investigating this as well, because I have never seen or heard about this before (SF uses the same mechanism). The disk health plugin does a background status check every 10 seconds and polls all available disks sequentially, there isn't really a difference between first and last disk (at least there shouldn't be). The background health check is only active when the health page is open, moving to another page view will stop the background health checking. Any disks which are spun down are not health checked unless the option "Enable background polling for spun-down disks" is set to yes. Now a couple of questions: 1. The interval after which the parity disk goes "on" is 20-30 minutes ? 2. You observe this while looking at the disk health page (which is opened for the duration you mentioned) ? 3. What setting is "Enable background polling for spun-down disks" ? 4. What is the spin down time of your parity disk ? 5. What brand/model is your parity disk, is it different from your data disks ? 6. Does the parity disk connect directly to the MB or do you use a separate controller card ? Link to comment
