  1. Ended up ordering the LSI SAS9340-8i ServeRAID M1215 12Gbps SAS HBA P16 IT mode from The Art of Server. Baby steps ordering parts.
  2. What expansion SAS card would you recommend? I will eventually replace the hard drives for larger one, but at the moment funds are limited.
  3. Thank you. I really appreciate your help on this. I've been Googling for days trying to figure out if that gaming board was going to work well with unraid. I don't mind spending a little more $$$ just to future proof. However, I will mainly use this server for streaming movies, music, and possibly setting a cloud storage for work / school related files.
  4. Someone locally is selling an i9 10900k cpu with MSI Z490 gaming edge MOBO for $300. Would these be a good combo?
  5. I have not used my UnRaid server for several years now. I mainly used it to stream movies via Plex inside / outside network. Now, I am thinking of installing outdoor cameras and using my UnRaid to store video, and setting up my own cloud. I have dual parity drives, and 1 cache drive. I've got about 31 TB, but I am slowly trying to upgrade my drives from 2TB to 4TB or larger depending on price. I had a Intel NIC Pro 1000 GT, which for some reason or another died, my MB NIC is Realtek RTL8111E, and not very reliable. Current set up: Mobo: AsRock Z77M CPU: Intel i5 3570K RAM: G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Case: AZZA Helios 910 CSAZ-910 Mid-Tower HDD: Total 31 TB PSU: Corsair TX750 SAS: AOC-SASLP-MV8 UnRaid Pro License I have spent a few weeks looking at people's set up--some very expensive and others pretty inexpensive. I know I want to stick with Intel since it is what I found to be the most reliable. I can't really decide on what to buy, and I really don't want to spend $$$ and later on find out that I ordered the wrong parts. For example, I am not sure if I will be able to continue using the ACO-SASLP-MV8 or will I have to upgrade this as well. Thanks for any help on this matter!
  6. This worked for me as well. Thanks. Using Windows 11 and UnRaid 6.11.1
  7. I'm a member of several other projects from tech, crypto, NFT, etc, and they've got a discord channel where members can interact and help each other live from anywhere around the world. I was wondering if UnRaid has ever thought of creating a discord channel?
  8. @JorgeB I've enable the LAN for my mobo, and it worked. Thank you for the help! Now, I need to order a new NIC, but I can at least access my server!
  9. I’ve got the mobo NIC. I’ll try it out. I had to get this Intel NIC because it’s more reliable.
  10. I was reading a different post where they recommended to delete the network file since unraid would create a new. So, I deleted mine, but didn't backed it up. So, this is the log file from that. tower-diagnostics-20220922-0219.zip
  11. I have not used my unraid server for several years. I've had it in storage for a while. Today, I've decided to turn it on, check parity, and update the OS and possibly the hardware, but I cannot get it to get an IP. Attached is the log file I had to download via command line, which is something I've never done before, but I had to learn. I've also Googled this issues, but none of the things others have done have helped me. tower-diagnostics-20220922-0153.zip
  12. I have not used my UnRaid server for about a year now. I was wondering what would be the best option to proceed? 1) Turn on 2) Do a parity check 3) Update UnRaid Thanks for any input on this matter.
