  1. https://www.ebay.com/itm/WD-easystore-8TB-External-USB-3-0-Hard-Drive-Black-/323363685330 - $149.99, use Ebay discount code: PRONTO15 for 15% off for total of $127.50 ea.
  2. Just a heads up that Costco has the Seagate 6TB External Backup Plus hub drives for $129.99, limit 5. https://www.costco.com/Seagate-Backup-Plus-Hub-6TB-Desktop-Hard-Drive-with-Rescue-and-Replace.product.100365355.html
  3. Been a long time user of UNRAID from back in the 4.xxx days and my current UNRAID machine is a server based Atom D510, X7SPA-H with Antec 900 case, and 3 Norco SS-500 bays with 14 drives consisting of WD Red 6TB Parity and various flavors of drive from 4TB to 1TB for data for 29TB of storage. The system has served me well as just strictly a Media storage appliance, no VM's, Dockers, or cache drive. I have a 2011 Mac Mini as my day to day desktop machine, an i7-5930K gaming machine with 3 GTX 970's, and a Dell Optiplex SFF i5 PC for Blue Iris (8ea, 1080p-4MP cameras) and Plex Media Server. I have started cleaning up my network and installed a server rack and Managed POE switch and am considering consolidating the 3 machines above into a Rackmount UNRAID machine with a Mac VM, gaming Windows 10 VM, and Windows 7 VM for Blue Iris, and a plex docker. I was hoping to use the existing i7-5930K and Asus X99-Deluxe motherboard and replace the 3 GTX 970's with a 1080ti for the Gaming VM, and use one of the existing 970's for the Mac VM. Then using the existing Atom based hardware for a Pfsense box. Is the i7-5930K up to the task, or am I better going with a Xeon system?
  4. Script no longer works with OSX 10.9.1 and UNRAID 5.0.4. When I run the script in Terminal, I get the following error: Mounting Media mount_afp: AFPMountURL returned error -1069, errno is -1069 Media mount failed. Check settings/server. Removing mount point. Any ideas on solving this issue?
  5. Thanks for the instruction. I did forget to mention that the files copy to the array just fine, but since the mover script has an error, the files remain on the cache drive. So, I have been manually deleting the files/folders after mover completes. I am currently running the reiserfsck on all disks. Not sure it will help, but I figured I would give that a shot. I will post results when that is complete.
  6. Thanks. Ran Tom\s script on all my data drives and found and removed several Directories with extended attributes. But, the problem still remains. Attached is the syslog after the above action. syslog.txt
  7. I have tried several times in the past to get the cache drive and mover working correctly w/o success. I just keep giving up, and going back to running w/o a cache drive. So, I finally broke down and created a clean install of Unraid 5.0 to try the cache drive again. I still am having no luck. I have run reiserfsck on my cache drive and it found no corruption. Attached is my syslog. Any ideas? syslog.txt
  8. Amazon price matched: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008JJLW4M/ Pulled the trigger on one. Thanks.
  9. I am in the same boat as you. Just bought the 3M Ware ones from Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-Hot-New-LSI-3Ware-CBL-SFF8087OCF-05M-SFF-8087-Discrete-Breakout-Cable-/270914499419#vi-content You can also get them at Newegg for a few bucks more: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816116097 Appears to be a shortage of the ones from Monoprice, as other retailers that sell the same cable are out of stock as well. Not about to wait 2 months for stock to come in to save a few bucks.
  10. Just setup Plex a few days ago, so I am a Plex Newbie. I run the service and client of Plex on my Mac Mini. But, also am currently trying the server portion of Plex on Unraid. I have a few films with multiple versions of the film and the Mac PMS handles those just fine, but Unraid creates 2 or more separate movie entries. So, so far, I prefer the Mac PMS. I have yet to see any performance issues running everything on the Mac, so I'll keep it that way for now. Haven't tried Plex on the ATV, but plan too add one to the TV in my office to try out.

  12. Nice. Didn't realize that was an option! How is it working for you?
  13. Anyone with a Popcorn Hour box install pchtrakt on their Unraid server? Says it can be installed on a Linux server, but unsure if that means Unraid. Here is the link: https://github.com/pchtrakt/pchtrakt
  14. Picked up one of these yesterday. Think I have got all I need coming for my 1st Unraid system!
