  1. Just upgraded no issues 6.6.6 to 6.6.7
  2. Fixed! I rebuilt the USB drive and checked the "Allow the EUFI boot". Changed the BIOS to allow it and everything came up. Thanks for all advice!
  3. Uninstalled Malware bytes and AVG still did not connect. Need to install my anti-virus now. Thanks for the advice.
  4. Tried IP address in Chrome and got the following results This site can’t be reached 192.168.1.4 refused to connect. Try: Checking the connection Checking the proxy and the firewall ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED Will remove Malware bytes and anti-virus next
  5. I have tried Firefox, Chrome, IE and edge. Nothing seems to work but can see the flash if go to run with \\tower. Is there something I can check?
  6. Update: Thanks for the advice. I removed the LSI controllers and tried to reboot and it still failed. It was a bad USB and that was a brand new USB. I found another one and it worked. Put it all together and it booted up. Awesome. Now a new issue. Cannot find the web GUI using http://tower. Page cannot be found. I can go to RUN and type \\tower and find the flash drive. Looking for some advice on that aspect Again thanks for the advice
  7. I will try this tomorrow. How do we boot into something so that this program can be run? All I have is unraid on a USB that I cannot get to boot. Thanks,
  8. First time posting in this forum. For the life of me I cannot find what I need searching this forum. I have run unraid for years all the way back in the 4x days and never had an issue. With my old set up, the cheap raid controller died and was a Marvel controller. I decided to build a new rig. This is what I built... Motherboard - ASUS TUF B450-Plus Gaming CPU - AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 2 LSI SAS9201-8i controllers 16 hard drives of various sizes I cannot get the server to boot up. I keep getting the message This is not a bootable disk. I used the USB Creator program to set up a new USB drive. I went in the BIOS and the only bootable device is the USB drive. The issue that I am seeing the server never gets past LSI bootup and gets to the bios to boot. I have gone into the LSI Config Utility and placed boot support to unavailable on both cards but I still do not seem to get past the LSI controllers. This is supposed to not offer any boot support to the BIOS. Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  9. I will keep searching. Thanks
  10. I am sorry for bugging everyone by asking such a simple question. I have been running unraid at for years. I have a server that has 49 gig of capacity. I set up FTP probably 5 years ago and I want to ftp to a different directory and I forgot how to do it. I cannot find the instructions. I searched this site for "ftp" and not getting anything back. I would like to have the step by step instructions setting up the permissions and I use filezilla. Thanks, Jim
  11. Added my three 1 TB drives and everything was recognized immediately. Running preclear on all 3 now. Should be done in the morning. This will at least let me get started and I will get to practice add bigger drives to the array. I tried to add these hard drives to my regular PC and it will not recognize them either. What a waste of time! Thanks for help and I will mark this as solved.
  12. I believe that I have 2 bad hard drives. I switched the power and sata cables and the sata ports. The good hard drives still show up and the bad ones do not on any combination. Must be the hard drives. I have never had this happen with western digital drives let alone 2 be bad in the same box. Must be a bad batch of drives. Thanks for your help. I havw some on 1 TB drives laying around. I will finish building this server with them while doing a RMA on these 2 drives
  13. Thanks......I will redo the power cable and the sata cables and see what happens. I will post the results.
  14. I am new to unraid and setting up a new server I initially booted up the server and ran preclear (1.3) on 2 of the drives. 1 drive failed and one drive I did not attempt becuase it was not being recognized as a sata drive. It showed up as hda. When the preclear finished successfully on 2 drives, I rebooted the server and entered the Bios. I set the drives from IDE to AHCI. Now when I boot up it recognizes the 3rd drive as a tape drive and th 4 th drive does get recognized, eventually. When I run the command dmesg|grep STA|grep link I get the following info... ata1: SATA link up 3.0 Gbps (SStatus 123 SControl 300) ata2: SATA link up 3.0 Gbps (SStatus 123 SControl 300) ata3: SATA link up 1.5 Gbps (SStatus 113 SControl 310) ata3: limiting SATA link speed to 1.5 Gbps ata6: SATA link up 1.5 Gbps (SStatus 113 SControl 310) ata6: limiting SATA link speed to 1.5 Gbps When I go to //tower:8080, there are only 2 drives are recognized. The 2 that were successfully precleared. My MB is a Asrock 880GM-LE The hard drives not being recognized are Western Digital Caviar Green WD30EZRX 3TB IntelliPower 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Running version 5.0 12b syslogs are attached. Any help would be greatly appreciated by this newbie! syslog-2011-09-30_1.txt
