Hey guys, I've begun running UnRAID 6.2 beta on my home server and I decided that I wanted to create and my own website. I have a domain which is hosted on a remote server. It's cheap, but it's severely limited (like sharing big files is NOT. an option) and I can't do what I want with it. Basically, I want to create my own website and am thinking about basing my template off of Petstreetmall which is an online pet supplies or at least similar to that as I like that menu and layout. Would running a VM with Ubuntu Server and installing a LAMP server work? And what are the security vulnerabilities I may face? Can an attacker see my SMB shares and access them? The SMB share is local, and it will ALWAYS stay local, meaning the only way you can get inside my internal network is via OpenVPN. I haven't forwarded any ports except OpenVPN and a MineOS Minecraft server I run, so in theory, nobody should be able to access my private files unless somebody hacks the website and runs unauthorized code on it, right? I dunno, what are your picks? Do you run a website on your UnRAID server? And if so, how? P.S.: If you have free time to burn, can you point me in the right direction? Complete noob, don't know where to get started. Thanks.

This is also my concern if there will be problems with mixing the drive brands?

I heard from my friend that unRaid will help my unit work faster and efficient. Can anyone of you help me understand what is unRaid? I already researched it and understand a few things like: "unRAID is software for storing and managing digital files on a mass-storage server. In more technical terms, unRAID® is an embedded Network Attached Storage (NAS) server operating system. It was specifically designed for digital media storage (e.g., videos, photos, music, & movies)." I want to know more and very interested in unRaid. Please advice, Thank you.
