  1. I mounted it in a different ubuntu vm as a second disk, it shows up as 100% unallocated.
  2. I have a ubuntu server vm that is stuck at the grub command line on boot. From there I can see both partitions and view a list of folders on each partition. I mounted the vdisk into a desktop ubuntu vm and it shows up as a blank disk (all unallocated space). How can this be fixed, at least to the point where I can grab a couple of scripts off of the vdisk?
  3. Duh, I obviously haven't had enough caffine. Just checked and they are indeed in the same IOMMU group on this board. Thanks for the help :)
  4. I have just replaced the CPU/MB in my server and now two of my VMs are acting up. The first is a pfSense VM, using a four port NIC (02:00.0 - 02:00.3), the other is a Windows 10 VM using a GPU (01:00.0 + 01:00.1). If I try to start either VM while the other is running it throws an execution error, complaining that the other VM is using the PCIe device assigned to the other VM. So when booting the Windows VM, it complains that the pfSense VM is using the GPU and vise-versa. I've been over the XML for both VM's and can't find anything that would cause this, neither VM should be using the other's PCIe devices. Anyone here have any ideas?
  5. I got a new case yesterday, and after moving the guts over everything is working except for one of the two drives that are passed through to my Windows VM. Both drives show in Unraid but in Windows I get a warning about the storage space that spans both drives (it literally just says "Warning", with no other info), and only one of the drives shows in disk management. I just don't get what the issue is, if the drive is visible in Unraid, why is it not showing when passed through to the VM? Surely if there was an issue with the drive Unraid would throw an error or something when I try to boot the VM?
  6. Just upgraded my server to unraid 6.4 and enabled ssl. Everything is working fine on my windows vm when I try to go to the ip of my server, it redirects to <mysubdomain>.unraid.net which is the expected behaviour, but when I try the same on my phone (android) it says it can't be reached. This is an issue as the windows vm is my main desktop, so I need to be able to access the gui from my phone if the array is offline. How can I fix this?
  7. I am aware of this, I was simply curious as to if it's possible or not.
  8. Is it possible to boot unraid in GUI mode and then use VNC to connect to it? All I could find was how to connect to VMs...
  9. There is no extention cable, I was simply saying that if the hub won't work then I will need to use extentions as an alternative. The cable goes straight from the usb card to the hub and is about a meter long. When I connect the hub to my laptop everything works fine, but when I connect it to the usb card it doesn't. @Squid Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a go.
  10. Forgive my confusion, but what good would it do connecting it to a port that isn't passed through to the VM? The hub is connected to the PCI usb controller that is passed through to the VM, and it is powered by a mains adapter. My understanding is that any device connected to a controller that is passed through to a VM is in turn passed through to that VM. Is it because it's a hub, or is there something I'm doing wrong?
  11. I have a PCI usb card that I've successfully passed through to my Windows VM. Any device I connect directly to the card works fine, but if I connect a hub to the card and try to connect a device to the VM through the hub, Windows doesn't detect the device. I have checked the hub on a different device so I know that it's working. I guess an alternative would be to buy a bunch of usb extension cables but I'd prefer to have the hub if possible. Any reason a hub connected to a passed-through controller shouldn't work?
  12. All I can find is stuff about SSDs, or the SSH Deamon, or people saying not to use them for the array or parity (which, as I understand it, will cause problems) but none of this answers my simple question. Will using a pair of 4TB SSHDs as a cache pool cause any problems or will it just work? Didn't want to just try it because this Unraid box IS the backup and losing any of the data would be catastrophic. Thanks in advance
  13. After checking available disk space, that does seem to be the issue. Would be nice if it showed somewhere (maybe the log file) that that was the reason, but oh well. I'll move some stuff to another disk and see if that solves it. Jut out of curiosity, what difference does it make if I followed a guide or not, surely you just install it the same as any other OS? (That's what I'm assuming, as it was stable and working fine up to this point.)
  14. I have a windows 10 vm that was working fine for several days, and now it is stuck in sleep mode, even though I disabled all sleep settings in windows. I go to the web gui and click resume, nothing happens. I force shutdown then restart it, but after a minute or so it's back in sleep mode. What could be the cause of this, and how can I fix it?
