  1. Many thanks, it's working now. I feel so foolish as all I needed to do was supply the full path to the executable, including the executable name, rather than simply supplying the path where the kindlegen executable was located Thanks again!
  2. First of all, I would like to extend a thanks for this wonderful docker. I wanted a nice way to share my library with friends and family, and this fits the bill with elegance, however, I seem to be stuck with one aspect of the docker -- the E-book converter. I am utilizing the RDP-Calibre docker from aptalca to manage my library, and this Calibre-Web docker configured through a reverse-proxy using Letsencrypt. Since I and family members have KIndle's, I would like the ability to convert my Epubs to mobi and email directly from Calibre-web instead of doing through RDP-Calibre. Under Calibre-Web Basic configuration, there are settings for External binaries with the following options: I initially tried to use calibre's ebook converter as I assumed it would be included in the docker but unless I'm mistaken, could not find it installed. I bashed into the docker and looked everywhere. I even tried to install the calibre package following the directions on this page to no avail. I thought I was close following the manual installation instructions below but could not install the "calibre_postinstall" executable, which I'm assuming installs the dependencies required to get Calibre's bundled "ebook-convert" binary to work. mkdir -p /opt/calibre && rm -rf /opt/calibre/* tar xvf /config/calibre-3.34.0-x86_64.txz -C /opt/calibre && /opt/calibre/calibre_postinstall At this point, I gave up and figured I'd download kindlegen from Amazon and give it a whirl. From the docker bash shell I am able to run it with no issues, but when I click on edit metadata for a given Epub book, the convert options are not there. If I select use calibre's ebook converter again, they show up even though I don't have a working "ebook-convert" binary -- go figure. I also noticed the following kindlegen status error when I clicked about and I don't know why as the kindlegen binary seems to run fine when bashed into the docker. I'll admit that I'm not a linux expert and could be missing something obvious, and I'm hoping that's the case as would love to get this working Many thanks in advance for any ideas/guidance
  3. For those looking for a great Unraid box, here is a pretty good deal: Chasis: CSE-846A-R1200B Motherboard: Supermicro X9DRI-F v1.1a Processors: 2 x E5-2620v1 Backplane: BPN-SAS2-846EL1 Controller: LSi MegaRaid SAS 9266-8i Power Supply: 2 x PWS-1K21P-1R Drive Sleds: 24 Air Shroud: Included Price: $600 RAM: Add $35 per 16GB Shipping: $80 to continental US via UPS or FedEx ground. Most are probably aware that these boxes are built like tanks, and this one is especially nice because it has a SAS2 backplane supporting drives > 4TB. I am not sure if the 9266-8i can be flashed to IT mode, so may need to purchase a cheap 9211-8i card (I often find the Dell Perc H310 or IBM M1015 on eBay for $25). The 9266-8i, however, still holds some value and can be sold to offset the cost if not needed. Could arrange local pickup in NJ to avoid shipping cost. https://imgur.com/SEyN4pP https://imgur.com/9ofuYZ9
  4. The update fixed it for me. Many thanks!

  6. I updated to 6.3.1 today and am getting this warning when scanning for errors, but does not detect any errors and otherwise seems to be working OK. Any ideas? 7. Once the current jobs I'm running are completed on my VM's, I'll reboot. Was trying to avoid the reboot if possible, but seems like it will be unavoidable. Thanks again! Reboot worked. Thanks for responses, and thanks for pointing out how to do an NTFS checkdisk. I was not aware of that functionality. Is there a chance you removed the device while it was still mounted? All of the different file systems on UD devices can be checked in the same way. Yes, it's possible I removed it without unmounting, but... I am 99% positive I rebooted a few times since. Thanks again!

  10. I don't think there is anything for repairing an NTFS filesystem on unRAID. You will have to plug it into a Windows computer and let it checkdisk. Would a corrupt NTFS filesystem prevent the disk from unmounting even though unassigned devices is reporting the drive to be unmounted? I could plug it into windows to check the NTFS file system, but I really don't need to use this drive going forward. I just plugged it back in to see if the repeated errors would stop. Thanks for the prompt response! I plugged the drive back into a windows machine and ran a checkdisk. It did not detect any errors so I reformatted the drive just to be sure. Stuck it back into Unraid, and it mounts and unmounts cleanly now. But....... the server still thinks the drive is mounted (old mount point) and I am getting repeated errors I can't stop now. Any other suggestions?

  12. I'm getting repeated errors in my logs for a drive I thought was previously cleanly unmounted. I plugged the drive back in and mounted the file system and the errors stop. Once mounted, it is difficult to unmount. I usually have to click on the unmount button in the WebGUI 5-10 times before it finally unmounts. Once it finally unmounts, however, it still shows to be mounted in the OS if I check via command line. Here's the diagnostics file: https://goo.gl/Bk8N63 Thanks in advance for any suggestions to correct this issue. 13. I'm a recent Unraid convert and loving it so far. I will post about my transition from the QNAP world later, but am super excited with Unraid's feature set, flexibility, and scalability. I also had a lot of fun building the new rig from scratch Attached is my first banner Cheers, phorse
