Hallo jj1987, Danke, nach einem Update erscheint der Adapter auch in den Network Settings. Netzwerktechnisch scheint nun alles zu passen, jetzt schaue ich mal ob ich mir durch das Update evtl was anderes zerschossen habe, allerdings hatte ich noch keine Docker oder VMs konfiguriert, also kann da auch nichts schiefgegangen sein. Hallo, im Zuge des Umbaus meines Unraid Servers (6.6.7) in ein neues Gehäuse, wollte ich auch die Netzwerkanbindung verbessern, vom im MoBo integrierten 1GB Realtek Adapter auf eine 2.5 GB Intel I225 PCIe Karte. Das Problem nun ist, dass die neue Karte zwar in den System Devices auftaucht: IOMMU group 15:[8086:15f3] 0a:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Device 15f3 (rev 03) aber scheinbar kein Treiber geladen wird, das schliesse ich daraus, weil unter Settings->Network Settings kein weiteres Interface auftaucht. Wenn ich statt der I225 Karte eine Intel Pro1000 einstecke, taucht ein weiteres Interface auf. Gut nun könnte man sagen, dass die I225 defekt ist, jedoch habe ich diese durch eine zweite ersetzt, die das gleiche "Fehlerbild" zeigt. Ist bei der Unraid Version 6.6.7 noch kein Treiber für die I225 dabei? Ansonsten fällt mir hierzu leider nichts mehr ein, Hat einer von euch eine Idee? mit freundlichen Grüßen VanHelm tower-syslog-20230902-0805.zip

Hallo, da ich mir, wegen Plattenzuwachses, ein neues Gehäuse zugelegt habe, habe ich mein MoBo und auch den SAS Adapter aus dem alten Gehäuse ausgebaut. Dummerweise hatte ich vergessen, dass am SAS Kontroller ein PCIe Kontakt abgeklebt war, das Isolierbändchen habe ich dann noch im PCIe Slot gefunden, aber ich weiss nicht mehr welcher Kontakt abgeklebt war. Ich habe mir den SAS Adapter damals fertig geflasht von einem Forenmitglied (weiss leider nicht mehr wer das war) hier gekauft, hatte beim Einbau dann Probleme und das Forenmitglied hat mich auf einen Thread hier im (m.M. nach alten) Forum verwiesen, nach dem abkleben hat es dann geklappt. Ich finden den Thread allerdings nicht mehr. Deswegen hier nun an euch die Frage, weiss jemand von euch, welcher Kontakt abgeklebt werden muß? mit freundlichen Grüßen vanHelm

Hello, problem solved. I did the normal cache disk replacement procedure, although there was data on the not responding old cache disk. The sharecontent seems to be ok (without the data of the defective cache disk) The share is not write protected best regards Reiner

Hallo, Problem wurde gelöst, Cache Platte konnte ersetzt werden, Durchführung, wie im ersten Beitrag Inhalt des Shares ist wieder sichtbar, Share ist nicht mehr schreibgeschützt. @alturismo Danke nochmals für Deine Antwort Reiner

Hallo, danke für die Antwort, ich habe befürchtet, dass das Array damit nicht zurechtkommt, dass "Ploetzlich" Daten nicht mehr da sind. Dann gehe ich mal ans Werk und melde mich, wenn ich ein Ergebnis habe. Danke nochmal für die Antwort.

Hallo zusammen, ich hatte dies in folgendem Threat: schon mal auf englisch probiert, da ist als Ergebnis rausgekommen, die cache Platte ist defekt, versucht Blöcke zu reallokieren, jedoch hat sie keine freien Blöcke mehr. Ich will die Cache Platte auch ersetzen, jedoch ist diese nicht leer und ich kann sie auch nicht per mover leeren. Zwischenzeitlich ist der Daten Share Data-12TB schreibgeschützt. Desweiteren werden Teile des Shares, ein Verzeichnis Data-12TB/CBT, als leer angezeigt, jedoch scheint der Inhalt auf den einzelnen Platten noch vorhanden zu sein. Dies ist aber laut den englischen Membern ein "normales" Verhalten wenn die Cache Platte nicht funktional ist. Ich würde nun folgendermassen vorgehen: 1. Array stoppen 2. Cache Drive unassignen 3. Server power down 4. physikalische Cache Platte durch neue Platte ersetzen 5. Server wieder einschalten 6. Array startet nicht automatisch 7. Neue Cacheplatte assignen und formatieren So wäre glaube ich der richtige Weg eine leere Cache Platte zu ersetzen, jedoch sind auf meiner Cache Platte noch Teile des Shares, die nicht ins Array geschrieben werden konnten. Diese Daten zu verlieren wäre ok, ich habe aber die Befürchtung, dass ich dann den Share nicht mehr zum laufen bekomme. Ich habe keine Docker oder VMs, das kann also vernachlässigt werden. Da ich mir unsicher bin, wie ich hier weiter vorgehen kann wollte ich hier mal um Hilfe bitten. Reiner tower-diagnostics-20220201-2219.zip

Hello Squid, this was what i tried, to empty the cache drive with the mover tasks, and replace the cache drive with a new one, but this did not work. The situation now is, some of the data is spread over the cache drive and the array. How can i replace the cache drive in this situation (not empty, as there is data on it, which is not written back to the array)? best regards Reiner

Hello, thank you very much for your fast answer, i forgot to add the diagnostic file, it is now added, sorry for not adding it at the beginning. for me, the problem occured, at the time i tried to move the contents of the cache disk with two manually started mover runs via the main menu, because i wanted to replace the cache disk with a new one. but both did not write the content to the array. Hello, i have two problems, first, my cache HDD is defektive, it is reallocating sectors, and i think, therefore the share is r/o. but now i do have a second problem, which seems more important. The second Problem is, the content of a Directory on a share is no longer visible, but if i use Midnight Commander, and i go, for example to /mnt/disk2/Data-12TB/CBT i can see, there is the not shown content (it is the same with the other 12 Disks). Data-12TB is the share name, CBT is the Directoryname which is now, via windows or via view in the shares Tab, empty. Other Directories of this share, seems to be not affected. What can i do, to first, view and access the contents of the directory (CBT) again, and second to replace the faulty cache disc (the cache disc contains 380 MB Data which was not written to the Array, via Mover and some content is spread on the cache Disc and array discs) Unraid 6.6.7, 13 12TB array Discs, 1 12TB parity Disc, 1 2TB CacheDisc, no Docker, no VMs 16GB RAM, 8 Thread CPU, 155 Days uptime. 1 Data Share. Hello, i started playing with 6.0-beta14 and i created an array with 1 parity and 2 data disks all three brandnew WD 4TB green not precleared, during formatting in the evening one of the Datadrives got an red Ball (5 more unassigned 4TB drives are physically in the case) Therefore i decided to begin from scratch and i want to preclear the disk before creating a new array, but i am not able to preclear the disks as they are assigned to the array, only the unassigned drives are listed, if i do preclear_disk.sh -l So my question is, how can i delete the complete arry, to be able to preclear the disks?
