  1. I see now. I added one too many 0’s to the minimum free space. It is resolved now. Thank you for pointing out my mistake!
  2. I figured something like that might be the case. But why am I not able to transfer a 60gb file to the array? I should have 960gb of cache space after taking into account the RAID. Edit to add, I can’t even create a folder without getting an error that there is no space available.
  3. I have tried balancing to RAID 1, RAID 6, and single disk. The value is always lower than 10gb, and when going back to RAID 5 I am now at 8gb.
  4. I’ve run the balance probably 7 or 8 times with no change.
  5. I didn’t follow any instructions. I just changed the balance to RAID 5.
  6. I have edited the OP to include the diagnostic file. While this is a new instance of unRAID, I have been using unRAID myself for almost 5 years. I only set the cache settings for the share to “only” to make sure that data written to the share is first sent to the cache as a test. After I get this resolved, I will set the setting back to “yes” so the mover will move the data to the array at night. The “unallocated” part may not even be the issue, that was just my guess.
  7. I have a brand new unRAID array and have been battling issues with the cache drive. I was trying to transfer a 60gb file to the array today and notice that the transfer speeds weren’t what they should be. I discovered that nothing was being transferred to the cache drive, almost all data was being written to the array. I changed the cache drive settings for the share to “prefer” and files were still going to the array. I change the cache settings to “only” and got an error that the cache drive was full, despite there being 5 240gb SSD’s in RAID 5 and this is literally the first time any data has been transferred to it. When I run btrfs fi usage /mnt/cache This is the output I see: WARNING: RAID56 detected, not implemented Overall: Device size: 1.09TiB Device allocated: 2.06GiB Device unallocated: 1.09TiB Device missing: 0.00B Used: 384.00KiB Free (estimated): 0.00B (min: 8.00EiB) Data ratio: 0.00 Metadata ratio: 2.00 Global reserve: 16.00MiB (used: 0.00B) Data,RAID5: Size:24.00GiB, Used:21.51GiB (89.61%) /dev/sdb1 6.00GiB /dev/sdc1 6.00GiB /dev/sdd1 6.00GiB /dev/sde1 6.00GiB /dev/sdf1 6.00GiB Metadata,RAID1: Size:1.00GiB, Used:176.00KiB (0.02%) /dev/sdd1 1.00GiB /dev/sdf1 1.00GiB System,RAID1: Size:32.00MiB, Used:16.00KiB (0.05%) /dev/sdc1 32.00MiB /dev/sde1 32.00MiB Unallocated: /dev/sdb1 217.57GiB /dev/sdc1 217.54GiB /dev/sdd1 216.57GiB /dev/sde1 217.54GiB As you can see, basically all of the data is “unallocated”. What can I do to resolve this? Edit to add diagnostic file. avenue-stor-01-diagnostics-20200913-1434.zip
  8. Running the initial balance did solve my issue. I now have a script set to run weekly to balance the disk. Thank you very much for your help!
  9. I do have a plugin that is supposed to trim the SSD daily at 1am. I have the plugin Dynamix SSD TRIM. Do I need to run this periodically? If so, is there any plugin that will automate the process?
  10. I have been using unRAID for about a year now, and just recently started having this issue. I am running 2 Ubuntu VM's on unRAID, one of which is constantly downloading data to /mnt/cache/ and the other is a DNS server. The one constantly downloading data will occasionally tell me that the disk (/mnt/cache) is full and stop downloading. I will SSH into the server and run df -h and see this output: /dev/sdf1 932G 296G 637G 32% /mnt/cache And the unRAID webUI says the same thing, but it will still tell me that the cache disk is full. This is also causing an issue with my DNS server, because it will randomly pause the VM it is running, making me open up the webUI and resume the VM every time. I have also attached a screenshot I took a few days ago when having this issue where it says that my cache disk has used 100% with over 500gb free. I have also uploaded my log file. horizon-serv-01-diagnostics-20170923-1059.zip
  11. Hello, I have been using unRAID for quite some time now with no issues and I absolutely love it! But today I ran into my first problem. I logged in to the WebUI on my server and noticed two red popups from the plugin "Fix Common Problems". It said that my Docker image was not writable and I don't remember the second thing it said. I tried to open the WebUI of one of my containers, and sure enough it wasn't working even though it said the container was started. I looked at the server log file and noticed it was FULL of errors, all saying the same thing: BTRFS error (device loop0): parent transid verify failed on 451182592 wanted 512636 found 511415 I rebooted my server and all is well now, but Fix Common Problems recommended that I post this on the unRAID forums, and I just want to be sure nothing is wrong with my hardware / software and this isn't going to cause any issues in the future. I have posted my unRAID log before the reboot. I will be happy to post system specs or any other log files required to help with the diagnosis. syslog.txt
  12. Hi Smith8154, Can you try setting manual timeout to something higher ? Also, can you access unRAID's webGUI from a browser on your iPhone ? If you do, is there any delay accessing it ? I'm updating the network stack of the app, and adding some debug profiling. I hope to make it available by next week. I sent manual timeout to 100000 and same results. I can indeed access the unRAID web GUI from my phone. It does not appeared to be delayed at all.
  13. I appear to be having trouble as well. I set a root password and was able to connect to the web interface, but I am unable to connect using the app my iPhone. On my phone, I try to add the server manually and it spins for a second, and then spits me back out at the main page saying I have no servers. This event is not logged in the log file located in /boot/logs/controlr.log . I can tell when the server is running because the iOS app will take a little longer to spit me back out to the main page compared to when it is not running, it takes less than half a second then sends me back (timeout for manual currently set to 0). I don't know if it makes a difference, but the server is currently on a different VLAN then my iOS device.
