  1. Got it back using another command that was found googleing 'how to repair usb stick ubuntu' sorry I don't have the command handy, its on another system. the only issue now is that the web GUI is not showing on the network and booting into the OS GUI mode shows a Firefox window saying that it is unable to connect to the local host.
  2. Got the command to work and this is the result: fsck from util-linux 2.30.1 e2fsck 1.43.5 (04-Aug-2017) ext2fs_open2: Bad magic number in super-block fsck.ext2: Superblock invalid, trying backup blocks... fsck.ext2: Bad magic number in super-block while trying to open /dev/sdd1 The superblock could not be read or does not describe a valid ext2/ext3/ext4 filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2/ext3/ext4 filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else), then the superblock is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an alternate superblock: e2fsck -b 8193 <device> or e2fsck -b 32768 <device> The OS still wont boot
  3. I have not tried that, will do so now. Im assuming that you would run that commend after you have logged into the system? It hangs before it gets to that stage.
  4. Hi all, My server is spitting out an error saying "failed to load ldlinux.c32" and thus the system wont continue the boot process. After doing some digging around people have been saying to reformat the USB. Will the new image that is on the USB just detect the array or will I have to reformat the whole thing thus losing all my data? Im not too fussed about losing all of the plugins and VM's that were on the system but I need that data! Unraid 6.3.5 Thanks, Jack
  5. I have got that configuration but the media is not being detected, lots of file formats are in there too
  6. In the youtube clip it showed to make a/MyMedia directory, that is why that is there but I would like it to show the media that is on the drive /VM + Plex/Plex Here is the screenshot!
  7. Hi all, New docker and unraid so move post if its not in the correct location. im having some issues telling Plex where my movies are. Ive installed it in the docker but can not get it to talk with the other shares on the system. I tried following a few tutorials that are on YouTube but none that i could find used 6.3.3 that uses a different interface. any help would be much appreciated.
  8. Got it working! thanks to all that helped, you are all legends!
  9. for some reason it is showing: -bash: hdpram: command not found any ideas?
  10. Thanks for the reply! in that configuration, next to the start array button it states that it needs the largest drive to work in parity though the 4TB is selected.
  11. Hi all, Im having some issues assigning a parity drive in unraid, the drives are as follows - 3x 4tb segate barracuda - 1x 2tb segate barracuda - 1x sandisk ssd (used for cahe) I would like to use one of the 4tb as the parity drive and have the other 2 in a "safe" way that if one of them dies it can rebuild. As for the 2Tb that was just going to be used on its own for VMs and a Plex drive. any help would be much appreciated.
  12. Thanks for the reply! im currently away from the system until Tuesday (Australia time) so ill give it a shot then!
  13. Hi all, Ive been having this issue for a while, I can not pass though my Nvidia Tesla 1070 server to one of my vms. 14. Hi all, I've been having some issues passing through a Tesla S1070 to one of my Windows 8.1 VM's. The PCI host cards are not showing in the assignable PCI devices and I've looked into doing the XML edit however the Tesla is not on the vag bios list. unraid is detecting the pci devices however they are not showing in the VM editor. any help will be much appreciated, jjackstar
  15. Hi all, New to unraid and Ive been trying to get my windows 8.1 pro VMs to output 1080P for team viewer to use without having a video card. Ive seen some of the windows Reg edits that change the min "safe" res to 1920x1080 however i was unsuccessful in my attempts. The server does have a GT710 graphics card and a tesla S1070 linked in however they are for other VM's that are running at the same time. Thanks unRaid 6.2.3
