  1. Got it, I'll try moving this docker to the bridge network instead and see if that fixes it. Thanks!
  2. Did you see any Macvlan call traces in my log? I might be missing it but I didn't see anything like that. I do have one of my dockers on the br0 network with a custom IP though so maybe that is causing the issue? 3. I've been using UNAID for over 4 years now and it has always been amazing, but recently I have been experiencing some system instability and I could use some help figuring out what's going on. I'm not sure when exactly this started but it's been roughly two months. Basically about once per week my Unraid system becomes unresponsive and I am unable to access any of my docker containers or even the Unraid Web UI. In order to fix this I typically just hold the power button on the system and reboot it to get it back up and running but this is happening often enough that it's become very annoying. Since the syslog get's wiped on reboot I have had trouble diagnosing the issue but I recently enabled writing the syslog to the flash drive in order to persist the logs. So far this has happened twice since I started writing the syslog to the flash drive. I've uploaded the syslog from my flash drive with the persisted information as well as the diagnostics zip file but the zip file is from after the reboot so the syslog in that does not contain what happened prior to reboot. One other thing to note is that I recently switched to a different server to run Unraid and while the issues I mentioned did not immediately start happening I'm wondering if that might have anything to do with it. Let me know if there is any more information I can provide. Thanks! tower-diagnostics-20210604-1140.zip syslog (3)
  4. I am using your CUPS Print Docker. I have it working with my printer, but is it possible to set up Google Cloud Print with it? EDIT: NNate's post above me worked!
  5. In the Finder on my Macbook in the Shared section I have two servers showing. One called Tower and one called Tower-AFP. I can't seem to get these out of my finder sidebar. I'm not connected to them. When I click them it says connecting... and I can click connect as if I want. Are these both just being discovered on the local network? If so would I be able to disable this?
  6. Awesome, thanks for all the info
  7. How is the nightly backup handled? Is that automated? If so, how is that working? Also, if you delete files locally, how do you ensure those files don't also get deleted on the NAS?
  8. How do you manage what is working and archived? Is this process automated? Do you use software to move files to your NAS or do you just manually move older files there? Also for some reason I've had trouble getting AFP working on our Mac computers. You just connect to server and then type AFP://IPADDRESS/Share right? I usually get errors that I don't have access or the share doesn't exist even though I have it set to public. SMB seems to work better but still is a little wonky sometimes.
  9. My fiance is a photographer. She works off a Macbook Pro. Currently she stores all of her data on her Macbook without any sort of backup, other than the photos she has on her SD cards. Being an IT person this scares me! She knows she needs to start backing up her photos, but hasn't found a good solution yet. I currently have an unRaid server running that I use for my Plex Server. Right now all I store on it is movies. I was wondering if my unRaid server could also be used to help her with a good backup solution for her needs. Her Macbook storage is almost full. I think it would be best to have all her data stored on a network drive instead of being on the Macbook. Since the network drive would be her working drive and not only for backup, it would need to be fast enough to not slow down her workflow. I think unRaid should be able to handle this without an issue considering I have a pretty good local network. The problem is I don't know how to implement this backup in the most efficient and organized way. I'm not super familiar with how photos are organized on a Macbook. I know there is a Photos Library that can be backed up as one file, but I don't think she really keeps her photos in this library. She exports RAW files from her camera to the computer, which I don't think are stored in the Photo Library. She then used lightroom to edit the RAW files and export them to a JPEG. Should I just setup a share and connect it to her computer and have her store everything on that? Since I have a parity drive in my server she should be able to use that to work off of and also be confident that if the drive fails the parity drive will be able to reconstruct it. I also would like to implement cloud storage into the solution. I have unlimited Google Drive storage, so may as well use it for this I think. If I just install Google Drive on the Macbook though the files will be stored on the Macbook as well as in the cloud though. I don't want that. She doesn't have enough storage for all her photos to be on the Macbook. The key is I need to get all these photos off the local system and still be able to work with the files at a high speed, while also being backed up.
  10. I have by unRaid server setup with SABnzbd and Couchpotato. I'm new to Usenet and I need good indexer to use. Anyone have any recommendations? Anyone able to invite me to a good one? Thanks!
  11. Hi, I know you probably don't provide support with downloading copyrighted content but I had a question. If you can answer it that would be great. If not I understand. Before using the transmission docker I used uTorrent on my Windows 10 PC to download torrents. I have downloaded movies for years using uTorrent and have NEVER got a copyright notice from my ISP. I have downloaded two movies with transmission on unRaid. For both I have received a copyright notice from my ISP. Both movies also happened to be from paramount pictures. Not sure if they are just monitoring like crazy recently or something else is going on. I am not using a VPN, but like I said I have not had this issue in the past with uTorrent. Is there any way that by using Transmission on unRaid my connections are more easily monitored?
  12. I've set the appdata folder to prefer on the cache and ran the mover script. It copied all the app data folder to my cache drive like you said, but the appdata still remains on the array as well. Is this normal behaviour? In the future will it read and write from the cache and not the array?
  13. Set appdata user share to Use cache disk: Prefer and run mover. Why prefer and not only? I would like to move my appdata folder to the cache drive permanently. The Plex Media server is always running. There is no need for the my drives to be spinning unless I am watching a movie. What would be the best way to do this?
  14. I see, I thought a cache drive is not permanent storage though? I have a small SSD that I could use as a cache drive. Would it benefit me to move the appdata folder to the cache drive? How would I go abiut doing that? I have a PlexMediaServer installed in my app data folder.
  15. Cool, got it installed and the Web UI is working. So what port numbers would I use for future applications I install? I can't reuse 8080 right? Does the port number not matter?
