  1. Hi, Long story short, I'm out of pcie ports; i thought by adding a usb3 2.5b ethernet port would work...it doesn't. What can I do to have that usb ethernet to be picked up Unraid? many thanks.
  2. Hi gang, This issue has been plaguing me for months now and decided to dedicate some time to fix it; however I've reached a dead end. My two xeon 2670s are only reach 2.6Ghz, never reaching the turbo speed of 3.3ghz. I've assigned the cores properly; I have even limited test VMs to only 4 cores (8 threads). Nothing boosts it. Can you help? My specs are: Asus Z9PE D8 2 X 2670 V1 32GB DDR3 2 X GTX 780
  3. Sorry, I meant I had tried the settings in Unassigned Devices (see screengrab) but that still does't work. Even created a new account called Pops to see if that solved anything, but it seems to be a headache.
  4. Dammit, I really thought you had solved it for me then :-) Sadly, that didn't work. I've attached a screengrab that may give you a clue, but I personally don't know what it means. THAT is why I've been trying to login as ROOT to the share.
  5. I must mention that the share is not actually a configured "share" until the SHARE menu. It's a mounted drive using the plugin UNASSIGNED DRIVES. It has been working fine until a week ago, now I've run out of ideas.
  6. Hi Squid I do have another user called TERRY, with that account I can access folders/file etc, but like I said I ONLY have read access. I can't copy to, delete, rename etc....
  7. Hi, I hope someone can help Windows won't let me login into TOWER with my ROOT login, even though I can use the ROOT login to access the web gui. Because it won't allow me to login as ROOT, I am forced to login using another account I created, however that user restricts me to read files/folders only. I simply cannot delete, copy TO or rename anything. PLEASE HELP!!
  8. So after months of tinkering, I've managed to get two AAA games stable and running at the same time, for me this has been a big goal of mine ever since I knew UnRaid was capable of doing this, so I'm over the moon. Please check out my video.
  9. Hi folks, I'm having doubts about my dual xeon configuration when assigning cores to each VM. In the screenshot attached, have I assigned "CPU 1" to one VM, or have I mistakenly assigned alternating cores from both Xeons? Ignore the label "Player 2", I've been tinkering with cores. My system setup: Mobo: Z9PE-D8 WS CPU: 2 x Xeon 2370 RAM: 32GB DDR3 Storage: 5 x WD RED 5TBs 2 x 250 SSD dedicated for VMs only I would appreciate any insight. Thanks.
  10. I'm running Valley benchmark using identical components on each VM but getting drastically different results. Any ideas? Not an issue, just curious.
  11. I had a very steep learning curve, but within 24 hours I finally got 2 VMs running with 2 780s and a 20TB NAS all in one box! Check out my vid.
  12. Hi folks, I'm a totally noob. I've got VM1 running fine, even played BF4 and run 3Dmark successfully. My confidence was high going on to VM2. The only difference is assigning different cores and my second GPU which is a 780. However, when ever I try to start it, I get this error: internal error: early end of file from monitor: possible problem: 2016-08-05T10:19:13.846726Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=84:00.0,bus=root.1,addr=00.0,multifunction=on,x-vga=on: vfio: error opening /dev/vfio/45: Operation not permitted 2016-08-05T10:19:13.846758Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=84:00.0,bus=root.1,addr=00.0,multifunction=on,x-vga=on: vfio: failed to get group 45 2016-08-05T10:19:13.846771Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=84:00.0,bus=root.1,addr=00.0,multifunction=on,x-vga=on: Device initialization failed 2016-08-05T10:19:13.846782Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=84:00.0,bus=root.1,addr=00.0,multifunction=on,x-vga=on: Device 'vfio-pci' could not be initialized Below are my specs: ASUS Z9PE WS DUAL motherboard 2 x Xeon 2670 2 x 780 32 gb of RAM Please can you help?
