  1. Personally do you feel a need to rma the board? I will use the Intel ports going forward. Thanks for helping me out Johnnie!
  2. Just an update the pre-clear is still going and the array is still up. The two new disk still doesn't show their temp. More to come!
  3. Hey Johnnie, Now the ST4000 disk (new 4tb disk) are no longer showing temp. I started a preclear on both disk to see if the issue still persist. Are all Marvell controllers bad? If this works I was going to RMA the board or contact newegg since we havent had this board for a few days. Thanks again for taking time to help me out. Also, whats up with the BTRFS no csum errors I was getting in the logs.
  4. Sorry you are right. I just saw that in the bios. Already swapped the cords around and will start another pre clear to see if that fixes anything
  5. The marvell ports have the cache on it and it's fine as far as I know. The other drives are on the Intel ports. I'll read verify in a minute when. I pop the lid. Something else is temp readings are not showing up on a few drives. I'll swap ports anyways to see if there is a difference.
  6. Any help is appreciated and I thank anyone who takes the time to look through that wall of text.
  7. OK error is popping up again. This is the start before the array is forced offline. See the attached file. homeserver-diagnostics-20161002-1106.zip
  8. I attached the entire zip. Now I took this after a restart of the server to get the array online. I have started a preclear.disk again to get the error to pop back up. Thanks for your help! homeserver-diagnostics-20161002-1029.zip
  9. Awesome. When I get home I will post the requested information. Hopefully with the right info and your guys help we can figure out what is causing this issue.
  10. Hey guys I just did an upgrade from my old X7 supermicro system. I'm running dual e5-2690 and an asrock ep2c602-4l/d16. I have my cache plugged into the Marvell controller and my array plugged into the c602 controller. It seems while running the preclear script, the disk running the script will show failed Unraid signature MBR and my other three disk show to be on the array, but the data is done. Do a reset of the server and everything comes back. See below for the log info I pulled. 11. I went ahead and bought the processors, motherboard, and memory. I will stress the system once everything comes in to ensure no issues. Hopefully.
  12. Also, I want the CPU side to be viable for atleast a couple years as far as gaming goes.
  13. Hey guys!! I believe first time poster long time lerker!! Ok currently like everyone else I have two independent systems running in my house. My gaming laptop and my antiquated unraid server. My current server is running on a q9300 processor with a max 8 gigs of ddr2 ram on a supermicro motherboard. Now after watching Linus Tech Tips many videos of X gamers 1 Cpu I am considering giving this a try. I am looking at buying used hardware, which I am not opposed too, but never have in the past on my main rig. I am looking at 2 e5-2690 cpus and Supermicro Motherboard X9DR3-LN4F+ I/O. I can get them all for $680.00 with a 30 day warranty, but my counter offer expires on my cpu in less than 24hrs. My concern is related to hardware failure of these components and will they be adequate for my use. I am planning to use my Unraid box as a gaming machine, home dvr vm windows 10, a family vm windows 10, nas, plex media server, crash plan, and want some extra capacity for adding different linux vms to learn on. As far as games go I play Battlefield 4, WOW, HOS, other AAA mmos, and various other first person shooters. The video card I am considering is a GTX 1070. I will list the rest of what I am looking at buying below. Let me know what you guys think about this option and the parts I have picked out.
