  1. Thank you Trurl, it actually was two failed disks, i took the disks out and tried to plug them into another computer, Both heads where clicking . Not a big deal though I have backup, I ended up doing a new config with two less disks and added a spare disk i had and i'm back in business. Thanks for the very fast response!
  2. Hey all, I have only one parity drive and two drives have failed at the same time, i know bum luck ! Question is there anyway to start the array without the two drives (i do know that i will have data loss) but most of my data should still be there. Also i notice that it doesn't show me the disk it was supposed to be under disk 10 please see screenshot. any advice would be great, short of copying each disk to other media and placing back on new created array! Thank you, Kevin
  3. Hello All, I was wondering if the LSI 9201-16e needs to be flashed to IT mode to work. I see a guide for the LSI 9201-16i but not the e. As far as i can tell the e just represents that the ports are external. I just want to confirm this before I go wiping firmware and flashing it to IT mode. The reason I am asking is I tried to just plug in my external SAS Expander (Supermicro CSE-216) and no drives were recognized. I am trying to narrow down the issue. Thank You in Advance! Kevin
  4. Hello All, 1) I have just added an SSD to my array as a cache drive, but it is almost filled up and i do not see the info "moving" up to the Hard drives. I think I may be doing something wrong is there a way someone can explain to me how it work exactly? How do i force file to move to the array. 2) The parity drive just says failed, and it will not turn on. I have 3x2TB drives in my array and 1x3TB drive in my parity pool. 3) How do i move all of my stuff from a previous install of unRAID to the proper drives? Can i just move them up directly to the drives at random? This was a previous install of unraid that just had an SSD. I started to get an explanation to this problem in this form link but i want to make sure i move the stuff up correctly. Thank You, Kevin

  6. Err yea sorry wrote this a little too quick. The problem is with my Windows 10 VM, i have passed through the GTX 1080 video card to my windows 10 VM. There is a known issue that has been worked on ( see this wiki article http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/UnRAID_Manual_6#Enable_MSI_for_Interrupts_to_Fix_HDMI_Audio_Support ). I have done that but it does not seem to work, i still cannot get audio through the HDMI correctly. I hear garbled sound which is really annoying esp when playing games and/or working getting an email sound can stay on for 30 - 45 seconds. I can attach an audio clip if necessary.
  7. Hello All, I have my unRaid up and running but for some reason i cannot seem to fix this demonic audio. I have followed the guide on this board to fix it but it still seems not to work. I have even downloaded the MSI Util to set my card. I have a GTX 1080 passedthrough that is causing the issues. Are there any other steps that i am missing? Thank You.
  8. So here is the strange part, the NICs show up but don't notice the cord plugged in also no link light or activity light. I'll try the card in another machine and report back.
  9. Hello All, I am trying to make a SophosUTM 9.4 VM. This software is based on openSUSE and i am trying to passthrough a 4 port PCI NIC card which i purchased. When passing through the card (followed this guide http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=39638.0 ) except for the last step because the new 6.2 has checkboxes to passthrough the NIC. When the machine is on there is no link lights at all, i was able to see the nic cards when installing but it does not seem to be able to actually notice that there is a Ethernet connected. There is no GUI to the sophos UTM but there is a linux command line that i can work though. Not sure how to even go any further, I decided to install a live CD of ubuntu. When starting ubuntu i see the same behavior in the GUI, all wired ports show up but no matter what or where i plug the wire into it says no Ethernet connected. I know the port works on the laptop and the wire because i have tested it. The NIC card is brand new ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HH6WETO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) could it be a DoA card? Or am i doing something wrong? Thank you.
  10. So just to reply to my own thread just in case anyone else has this issue... I had to install python on the unRaid host for the plugins to work. I was able to do this with the "NerdPack GUI"
  11. Currently i only have one drive in my array, the 512GB M.2 Sata. I do not have any other drives in there. I want to keep the data/config/shares that are on that drive because i set up all my VMs and such. I have 4 2TB drives that i want to add to the array then make this drive the cache drive. The data that is on the drive is basically just my 2 VMs that i have and the data/config on them. Is it just a simple copy the entire drive over to a new place, make a new array and paste back? I do not want to mess up what i already have. My Main VM i would like to keep cache only ( speed reasons ) and the rest of my data can be on my hard drive(s).
  12. Hello All, Is it possible to move an array drive to a cache drive without data loss? I was testing unraid with one drive but i think i am ready to take it to the next level and add a few 2 TB drives. My main drive is a 512 GB M.2 SSD, if i move that drive from array to cache will i lose data? Thank you, Kevin.
  13. Hello All, I am trying to get up a sonarr and Deluge server up and running. For some reason i cannot seem to get the plugins running on my deluge docker, I used to have this all running on a w7 VM and i would much rather have it working with dockers, but without the extracter i will not be able to get it running. Any one have any insites on how to fix this? I have tried 2 different repos and they both seem to not launch the plugin after i put the check in the box. After a bit of research it seems you need to have python running to get these plugins to work, is that already installed in my docker? if not how do i get this running. Thank You in Advance. PS please let me know if i am in the wrong place for this post. I am still new here, Thank you
