  1. would it be possible to add removal instructions to the wiki or add it to this post ? I'm getting caught with the AD bug and that is a game breaker for me... and I can't find the removal instructions.
  2. Is there any way to change that to be a san or is it only a nas?
  3. So I was wondering if Unraid is considered a NAS or a SAN?
  4. yep I tried un-plugging it ... no change it's an onboard nic card There really isn't anything different from it's current location and the place that I was setting it up at
  5. this is very weird ... I move the server back to where it was and it started working again and at the time of the issues I was plugged into the same switch with my laptop
  6. on the netlookup command not found on th ifconfig eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:01:2e:2c:f4:6d UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:260 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:4 errors:0 dropped:0 overrunns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 Rx bytes:34481 (33.6Kib) TX bytes:2360 (2.3 Kib) Interrupt :16 Base address:0x4c00 on the ethtool eth0 Supported ports: [ TP MII ] Supported link nodes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full 1000baseT/Half 1000baseT/Full Supports auto-negotiation: yes Advertised link modes: (same as above) Advertised auto-negotiation: Yes Speed: 1000Mb/s Duples: Full Port MII PHYAD: 0 Transceiver: interal Auto-negotiation: on Supports Wake-on: pumbg Wake-on: g Current message level: 0x00000033 (51) Link detected: yes any thing else that you need?
  7. the cable is good ... I know that the ip is being set correctly because the network boot pxe shows up on reboot
  8. This is all that I did and now I can't get my unraid box up and running ... In the web interface I told the unraid to spin down the disks and then I powered down the system moved it phyically to a new location and plugged in the network cord and the power cord ... the box boots up and gets logged in all the way and I can log into the box locally but the shares and the web interface are not there... If I try to ping the unraid box I get time outs ... and if I try to ping from the unraid box to my router I'm told that the host is unreachable ... The ip address that the unraid box is being set by my dhcp server but it's not showing up in the " To access it put this address in your browser: http://:89" but there is no ip ... what is going on ? Is my data safe? How can I fix this?
  9. so no one has an idea what I'm asking for ... or how to get this to work?
  10. I spin down because I would rather save power since it's only being used for 3-4 hours a day no sense spinning the drives if they have no chance of being used
  11. this is the page that I have the question about ...
  12. so any thoughts about this? I can post up more info if needed ... I can't seem to find anything on how to get this working
  13. I have my unRaid on my domain... but I was wondering If I want to Keep an OU of users out of a folder on the unRAID do I change the initial group to something other then Domain Users?
