  1. The docker.img was full, I deleted many of the orphaned dockers and this got it back down to 11GB out of a total of 20GB available. I have been able to update all of my Dockers without any issues except Plex which gives the following error. Error: layers from manifest don't match image configuration Thanks for the help Squid
  2. Thanks, it looks like I will be ok. Congratulations! 3. I am on 6.2.4 and cannot update any of my Dockers, they all have updates available, I am getting the following error. Error: write /var/lib/docker/tmp/GetImageBlob677393430: no space left on device There is space on my device, this issue seems to have come up since upgrading from 6.1.9 to 6.2.4
  4. I am hopefully purchasing a CV1 Rift tomorrow and want to use it in my Windows 10 VM, I am running the latest version of unRAID and Windows 10 is up to date, is there anything else I need to do to prepare for VR on a VM?
  5. So I upgraded today to 6.2.4 and everything seems to be working except my sound. I can select the motherboard onboard soundcard in the VM settings but when the VM loads I only have the options for the digital outputs, the analogue output states that nothing is connected, this was working fine prior to the update. I have a Realtek ALC1150 onboard audio chipset. wedge_server-diagnostics-20161107-2032.zip
  6. I agree that it is better to setup Dockers for the other apps and just use Windows as VM, that is my current setup and it works very well.
  7. If I want to create a vdisk just for games folder, like Steam, GOG, Origin etc then create the vdisk on a HDD that is not part of the array, ie an unassigned disk, or just buy a higher capacity SSD and add to my existing Cache pool?
  8. Thanks for the quick response. I am going to change the settings in cache balance and hopefully it works without any errors, I have backed up all of the files from the cache just in case. Is a reboot required after making the changes to balance?
  9. I did this but then realised afterwards that it was not the best solution as they are now in RAID and I am not able to access the full 240GB on the 2nd disk as the 1st disk is only 120GB. I need at least 100GB just for the Windows VM. Can I now remove the 2nd cache and then check parity again and then have 1 cache, 4 HHD disks on array and use the 240GB SSD as an unassigned drive with the Windows 10 VM on it? I have copied the info from the cache to the array in preparation for this, so I do not lose any of the information.
  10. Thanks I will set it up before I go to bed tonight as I assume it takes a long time.
  11. I have a Parity, disk 1-5 in my machine, all of these disks are HDD except Disk 5 which is an SSD. Disk5 share is not included with any of the other disk shares. I want to remove it from the share array and then assign it as a 2nd Cache disk. I currently have a 120GB SSD as a cache and want to use the 240GB SSD as secondary cache. Based on my reading so far I have to shutdown array and goto new configuration to get this to work. Please advise if this is the correct method?
  12. The Parity disk, that's the answer to all the HDD noise. Disk 5 is an SSD 240GB with nothing on it other than the disk img for the windows VM. I assume I could do either of the following, convert the 240GB SSD to the cache drive and use the 120GB SSD as a drive on the array. Or the better alternative maybe upgrading to 6.2 and using both the 120GB SSD and the 240GB SSD as cache drives.
  13. I recently moved my Windows 10 VM disk img from my 120GB SSD cache to a 240GB SSD disk 5 in my array, no other share used this drive and it is setup soley for use with the VM. I have noticed that since doing this I hear a lot more HHD activity than I used to while at my machine, does this have something to do with the fact that the VM is now installed on a disk in the array vs the cache disk? Is it ok to run a VM from a share disk vs the cache?
  14. Here are the details on the IOMMU groups and the PCI devices. As you can see the nVidia card is group 26 and the AMD card is group 27, there are no other devices in these groups. 03:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GM107 [GeForce GTX 750 Ti] (rev a2) 03:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation Device 0fbc (rev a1) 04:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. 15. I just mean that if I use the AMD card as the selected video card in the VM settings it works and if I use the Nvidia card it does not.
  16. I have no nvidia or AMD drivers installed on my VM at this time. I have an older AMD 6450 in my primary PCI-E slot and a GTX 750 Ti in the secondary PCI-E slot, if i try to boot the VM from the AMD card it works without any issues, if I change over to the Nvidia card in the VM display settings then it fails, i get the Windows loading icon and then a black screen. Any help is appreciated.
  17. ok i will just keep it then, its a beast.
  18. I am not sure on my power draw right now, how can I measure this without a kill-a-watt? I do have a discreet AMD GPU for VM passthrough. PLEX is only used at my home over the LAN, I would like to have the ability to transcode.
  19. Guys I use my current unRAID system just for a Windows 10 VM for web browsing, Youtube, no gaming, and the other apps running on unRAID are PLEX, Sab, Sonarr and Couchpotato. My current system has the following crazy parts, 5930k, X99 motherboard and 16GB DDR4, this is too much power for the use. I plan on selling the components listed and replacing them with parts that reduce power consumption and are more suited to a 24/7 usage scenario. Please advise on the best options.
  20. Wow this is great information, thanks for taking the time to investigate as I have noticed significant differences when using previous CPU pinning options. I have a 5930k and if I try to isolate 1,7,2,8 and then assign them to the Windows 10 VM I notice considerable stutter in games and on Youtube, if I change this to 4 physical cores ie 1,2,3,4 then the issues no longer occur. I did not use cores 0, 6 as I have also heard that unRAID prefers these cores. I am going to test out the new method you have posted and will report back.
  21. So I made the changes and I notice that frame rates are worse in games than they were previously, not sure why using one physical core and its hyperthreaded partner cause these issues. going back to 4 physical cores for my VM.
  22. This is interesting to me as I also have a 5930k and notice issues with FPS in games and general stuttering sometimes on Youtube inside my Windows 10 VM. I currently have cores 0,1,2,3 assigned to my VM and all other cores assigned to either Dockers or unRAID. I will make the changes suggested and see if they work out.
  23. Many thanks for the detailed responses guys, very helpful.
