  1. Modify does not seem to be an option when i go to the post i made i want to rename SOLVED. Must be something simple im not doing - anyhow SOLVED and THANKYOU, will do better next time
  2. SOLVED The restart was the key, also set the correct format mode in settings on 4.7 - power down and restart and all is well. THANKYOU ALL and long live unraid
  3. I ran a Rieserfs Chk and got the following: Will read-only check consistency of the filesystem on /dev/md12 Will put log info to 'stdout' Do you want to run this program?[N/Yes] (note need to type Yes if you do):Yes ########### reiserfsck --check started at Mon Aug 22 22:34:37 2011 ########### Replaying journal: Done. 4. Yikes. Followed the instructions to upgrade to 4.7 from 4.5.4 (re install 3 files to key) restart. insidted on rebuilding drive, only now its done and there IS NO DATA on the drive (and i have no backup) I cant begin to tell you how frustrating this is.... and i post this in desperation. disk12 WDC_WD20EARS-00M_WD-WCAZA7173868 32°C 1,953,514,552 Unformatted 8,851 5,538,736 When i first restarted the array, thois drive showed RED but was rebuilding and seemed to indicate it was half full into the rebuild process. But when done - UNFORMATTED. Is there anything i can do, this is a real nightmare here as much important data is on that drive (it was turned into a 2 TB drive not long ago from a 1TB) HELP
  5. Hmmm the :8080 interface is working - and the regular web interface is not. What is the command to restart the Web service (80) as the NAS is working fine, just no access to the main control interface, which IS a handy thing for some things. is /usr/local/sbin/emhttp & the correct command JUST TO RESTART THE :80 interface?
  6. I too see this, sometimes its the main interface that stops, sometimes its the 8080 interface. The 8080 interface is easy to restart from a terminal session /boot/unmenu/uu and that seems to bring the 8080 interface back. Tho when MAIN stops, im not shure how to get it back.... (I have 3 UNRAID Towers, #2 currently is not responding to main though its up, works, and the 8080 interface works (cept no main through it either) Also - I had a folder get wrong permissions, using midnight commander i tried to correct it - but lo and behold, even duplicating the settings of a "good" folder, the permissions were STILL 40777 !!!! NOT 42777 as the good folder showed - how do i correct this from the terminal directly (looking up CHMOD doccs now) The shutdown of unmenu or menu happens alot on all my towers. How can i assist in the troubleshooting process?
