  1. I'm selling off the hard drives from a previous UnRAID build and a few others I don't need anymore. There are 26 drives available in total, 5 are 4TB the rest are 2TB. The drives are out of warranty unless otherwise noted. A few of the drives have only been used once to transfer data between machines and are like new. Here is a spreadsheet of the drives available I will update the drive's availability in the spreadsheet as they sell. Please inquire via PM with the drive ID values (1, 12, etc) from the spreadsheet that you'd like. Bulk Discount I'll give you a $10 discount on every drive after 4. For example: 5 drives = $10 discount, 10 drives = $60 discount, 26 drives = $220 discount. Payment I will accept PayPal or Bitcoin. Prices are in USD, shipping cost will be converted to USD and added to get your total. Once I provide the total price with shipping and you agree to it I will send you the payment details. From this point I will put these drives on hold for you to make payment within 24hrs. Shipping Items ship from Halifax, Canada via Canada Post. Local pickup available. Shipping will be charged at-cost, you can get an idea of your shipping cost using the form here using these values: Sending from postal code: B3J 3A5 Size: any small numbers Weight: 0.85kg per drive Canada - I will ship using the "Regular Parcel" service. USA - I will ship using the "Tracked Packet" service if I can (1 drive max) otherwise I will use the "Expedited Parcel" service. International - I will ship internationally on a case by case basis. Notes Drives marked as "Refurbished" are drives received through warranty claims, they don't have colored labels like the retail drives but they work just as well as the retail drives. I've included a few drives with SMART issues at the end of the list in case anyone has a use for them. Definitely not recommended to use these in an array but they may be useful for moving data between machines.
  2. Just saw this deal in their newsletter - http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=80438 $192.06USD if you're in the US.
  3. Hi All, I'm selling my old unraid server. It includes all the hardware needed to support 15 drives except for a AOC-SASLP-MV8 (which I'm using in my new server). Here's the main hardware list: Case: Cooler Master Centurion 590 Drive Cages: 3x Norco SS-500 Motherboard: Asus M4A78L-M CPU: AMD Sempron 140 Memory: Kingston HyperX 2GB 2X1GB PC2-8500 DDR2-1066 PSU: Corsair CMPSU-400CX There's also a NIC (because the mobo never seemed to get a gigabit connection), a pci-e to 2x SATA card (for the 15th drive), and the breakout & sata cables. [Edit] There's also an internal usb adapter included, allowing you to keep the unraid flash drive inside the case. Here's pictures - I'm asking for $400 + shipping. The assembled server will be shipped in the case box, and a second package with all the extra stuff (screws, covers, manuals etc) will be sent separately (unless you don't want it). I'm located in Ottawa, Ontario so if you're local you're welcome to pick it up for free. Message me with your postal code/zip for a shipping quote. I'll accept payment through paypal or with Bitcoins
  4. Here's the canadian promo link - http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=62047&vpn=WD20EARX&promoid=1382 You can get a better price over at MemoryExpress by price matching with this sale - they'll give you and extra 25% of the difference off, so ~$90. http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX36055
  5. Success This thread was what finally did it for me. I got into the saslp cofiguration settings w/ crtl+m (never knew I could do this ) found a 'int13' setting as Joe mentioned above, disabled it, and now I'm booting with 14 drives without issue. Thanks!!
  6. Well after updating the bios and getting the settings back to normal, the system won't even boot with the 13 drives as before (insert proper boot device error) I also tried disabling all the hdd's as 642 suggested, no luck. Joe, how would I 'disable int-13' on the addon cards? didn't see any option named that in the bios. One thing I did notice in the bios is that it only lists 12 boot devices so i'm thinking that may be an issue. I figure I'll just pick up a good supermicro board soon as I need more storage than this board has slots for anyway.
  7. I've got 13 drives in my array right now - 6 on the mobo and 7 on an AOC-SASLP-MV8. When I go to add a 14th drive (last connection on the SASLP) my system won't boot, requesting me to "insert bootable media, and restart" (something to that effect). Usually this issue is because it's trying to boot from something other than the USB but I've got my BIOS setup to solve this (forced FDD, top boot priority) and the last 13 drive additions went fine. I've ruled out the sata card by buying a cheap 2-port card and trying the 14th drive on that card, same issue. So I'm thinking it's an issue with the PSU or Mobo. Niether is very convenient to replace so any help narrowing down the issue would be appreciated. 8. huh, not sure if I was imagining things last time I tried, but I just went though a very easy rma process without even being asked for a code <3 WD also a big thank you to the regulars for always providing support
  9. argh, that sucks, replacing all these drives is getting expensive what do you guys generally do with drives that have dropped out of an array? I've got 3 WD greens lying around that dropped because of read or write errors but they havent failed "enough" for the WD diagnostics utility to report anything wrong, and from what I understand I can't rma without a diagnostics failure code.
  10. All disks are green in the UI, though just last week I had to replace a failed disk12 EDIT: I didn't notice it all the way over there on the right but disk2 shows 126 errors (even though it IS green), time for a replacement?
  11. I have DC++ and uTorrent accessing files on my unRaid server 24/7. Recently I've been getting a lot of 'network path not found' errors on files located on my server from uT and DC just hangs on load when it tries to confirm its hashed files indeed exist in the filesystem. I was running 4.5.6, I just upgraded to 4.7 - problem persists. syslog attached. I *think* the errors are the "Tower kernel: ata9.00: failed command: READ DMA EXT" and "handle_stripe read error: 3035454392/2, count: 1" lines but I'm not sure why or what can be done about it. dease_syslog.txt
  12. Just an update, I couldn't get that one sector to reallocate no matter how much I wrote to the disk. I returned it and bought a new one, data rebuild is in progress now!
  13. Thanks Joe, I appreciate that you're always here to help everyone I played with the cables, no difference. I took the drive out of the cage and connected power/sata directly, no difference. Changed the sata cable & port, no difference. So I took the replacement drive and connected it to my workstation and SMART was reporting one 'pending sector' (C5) I guess that's why unraid reacting strangely From what I understand I have to read or write to that sector for it to either be reallocated or not and thus be usable in unraid so I'm doing disk checks/benchmarks hoping to fix it.
