  1. I used the unthrottled settings instead of the best bang for your buck. Is there any reason I should switch to the best bang for your buck? I have 12GB of RAM and only use MariaDB, Cache_Dirs, and APCUPSD. I am pretty sure I have more than enough RAM to swing the additional memory consumption. Opinions? Thoughts? Tunables Report from unRAID Tunables Tester v2.2 by Pauven NOTE: Use the smallest set of values that produce good results. Larger values increase server memory use, and may cause stability issues with unRAID, especially if you have any add-ons or plug-ins installed. In unRAID, go to Settings > Disk Settings to set your chosen parameter values.
  2. Successfully flashed 2 more LSI MegaRAID cards. I am incredibly appreciative of all the hardwork that was done to put this together.
  3. I am a huge fan of your web gui. It looks fantastic and is exactly what I would want to use. Can't wait to see when it is finally released.

  5. Currently have 10 drives in one machine and 15 in the other. I plan to max out one system for sure and eventually will probably swap to a bigger case so I can have a 1:1 mirror with both systems.
  6. Both my servers run 4GB right now. Once I finally upgrade to v6.0 I will hopefully be swapping to either 8GB or 16GB, depending on pricing.
  7. I use SSD for cache in both servers but solely as App drives and not for caching function.
  8. Since I originally posted this question I have only been purchasing the WD 3TB Red's. I would like to replace all of my 2TB Greens with them, but at this point since I have plenty of open bays I have just been adding new 3TB's into the array rather than replacing drives. I have had a few of the Red's fail. Only one actually failed while in use. The others were DOA. The last failure was almost a year ago now, so I am pretty satisfied.
  9. I have 2 of them. Sounds like you are using a Cat5 cable and not a Cat5e or Cat6. Cat5 cables don't support gigabit speeds.
  10. Did you forget to set the source as movies, tv show, music, whatever? If you didn't specify what the source was then it's not going to scrape.
  11. I would be willing to ship to south africa. Just pm me your information so I can get you an accurate shipping quote.
  12. Since posting this I have purchased a number of the red drives which I am now planning to use exclusively. I have had to RMA a number of my reds, most were DOA's, only one actually failed in the array. I usually just watch for the sales now and pick up one or 2 drives because at $15 more for the extra year warranty and considerably less head parking it has been worth it.
  13. Interesting. I did not know that. I might have to give that a try.
